As good as he was Ive honestly always thought Carter was a bit soft for a Flyer, but I loved Richards. I can understand the move though. It was obvious that more than anything a really good goalie is needed to do better than last year in the playoffs and as someone who is forced to watch the Coyotes if I want to watch hockey most of the year I can attest to Bryzgalov being close to a top-tier player. The thing that I do love about this is the added dependency on some of the fantastic young players such as JVR, Leino, Giroux. Another thing I think they need to do is work on getting one or two more young Defensemen, with two 36 year old Ds the chance for injury is high as we saw with Pronger last year. They need someone who can fill the vets shoes if needed.

I'm psyched for the moves that the Sabres made in the last week or so. Two good defenders (Robyn Regehr and Christian Ehrhoff) and a forward (Ville Leino) on the rise. Locked up a couple of young players (Cody McCormick & Nathan Gerbe). Let Connelly walk to Toronto.
