Does anyone know anything about the new album? All I've heard is that it's Pink Floyd-ish progressive rock and that it's supposed to be out "early 2011."

They post a lot of videos and clips on twitter of them working on it and stuff. Just little bits but from what I've heard I've liked it. Can't wait for it. Should be great to hear on the farm.

Can you link me to them? Twitter makes absolutely no sense to me.
Awesome thanks. I figured it'd be out soon with everything I've read saying "winter/spring 2011." PTM is certainly rising as one of my favorite all time bands. Church Mouth/Censored Colors/Satanic Satanist are all gold.
yo ITM, I have a couple of their songs that I really like, which album should I dive in with first?
You can't go wrong with Church Mouth, Waiter You Vultures or Censored Colors if you are looking to get into them. Satanic Satanist and American Ghetto are really good too, but I would suggest the first three if you are really trying to delve into them for the first time.

FWIW, when I saw them last fall they didn't play a single song off of American Ghetto.
They may have something worked out for this next tour, but I would have thought they would've at least played Dead Dog to support the album in some manner, but no dice. Other than that it was a pretty even mix from all the previous albums.

What songs off it did they play?
I was hoping to hear a couple when I saw them in October, but didn't get any. I know they played some shows earlier in the year where they played Dead Dog and 60 years, but I don't recall ever seeing anything else pop up, although their setlists aren't exactly well circulated.
I saw them last March and they only played 60 Years. I got John's setlist after the show and it had The Dead Dog on it but they played Guns & Dogs instead (I was happy either way). So yea, guessing they don't always stick to the setlist every night. They also had "Created" from CC for the first song of the encore but the energy in the room was so high they went straight into Church Mouth, it was an amazing show. I think I read a tweet or something of theirs about creating new setlists for the next tour, so who knows this time around. I'm sure it will be great regardless. Can't wait for the new album!
