Gary Sinise (Ken Mattingy) has his own band. I believe they are called the Lt. Dan Band or something like that. Could be as easy as that. I would buy that as a first clue.
The clue is an obvious reference to Apollo 13 which occurred in 1970. Perhaps, a clue to the year of an album's release?
Alright. Bonnaroo-possible artists that released an album in 1970 (Please attch a watershed moment with these):
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young - First album w/ Young McCartney - First solo album. Could be a watershed moment? Elton John - First American release The Who - First Live Album Bob Dylan - Poorly recieved album The Grateful Dead- Dealing with many bad things during recording Donovan - After release, he focused on his family Neil Young - Release of After the Gold Rush; prolific year Eric Clapton - Debut solo album Rolling Stones - First Live album Allman Brothers Fleetwood Mac Led Zeppelin - More acoustic record The Kinks Cat Stevens The Wailers
A trip to space = a launch...as in the debut of a band
This launch was thwarted by the death of a speckled lad, or a boy with freckles
Watershed moment otherwise, means that things would never be the same afterwards
The freckled boy I was thinking of is Howdy Doody, as in the Howdy Doody Show. Maybe a band or artist who was supposed to make their debut on that show, but the show was cancelled before they could.
I really think its Paul, they even mention him leaving The Beatles in the movie.
It's not Paul.
Im thinking this is our new DJ, the account was just registered like 20 minutes ago, and with the image and the name, I would say its safe to say its her. I would like to welcome her to inforoo, and also make mention of the birthday she has listed in her profile... its 04/25/1954, and based on the pic someone posted of her, I wouldn't imagine her being in her 50s
Contextual Evidence supports the following bands: -The Dead Kennedys (Hardcore is not new The Melvins played Roo) -Macca -Lt. Dan Band -Muse? (Apollo being the leader of the Muses could be an abstract clue to Muse)
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

I started thinking about watershed moments that involved space, and perhaps something that happened in the music world concurrently. Naturally, the watershed moment involving space travel was the landing of Apollo 11 on the moon. I looked on wikipedia's article of deaths in 1969, and Brian Jones (an original member of the Rolling Stones) died on July 3, 1969, which was 17 days before we landed on the moon. He had left the band a month earlier and died by drowning in his swimming pool.
I realize it's unlikely that they drop someone like the Rolling Stones with the first hint, but my hunch did lead to something
