Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I could have been more thrilled with it, maybe throw in another big name headliner like some above have mentioned. However, there are a lot of smaller bands I've been wanting to see like the Blitzen Trapper and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros who I'm looking forward to.
Plus, Bonnaroo isn't just about the bands I've been wanting to see, I've become a fan of several groups I had little interest in just from seeing them at Bonnaroo. It's a great place to find some new favorites. That's to mention the fact that the whole Bonnaroo experience is more than just the music. Heck, we haven't even seen a comedian on the list, yet.
nice side acts and some old timers but this lineup lacks the rock jam bands that built this festival. Add some of the core and I'm in but right now looking to make a longer drive to wakarusa!

If there was an option in between OK and Meh, I would have chosen that.
There are many, many bands that I'm excited to see but very few acts that make me feel giddy inside and super pumped. Stevie, Dr. Dog, Tenacious D, Lotus, Calexico, and Isis are my only must sees and those aren't even that important when it comes down to it. But as far as bands that I just want to see, there are tons. I'm going for sure and hope that the additions blow me away but I won't hold my breath. I will definitely never pay Bonnaroo the kind of money they ask for VIP ever again.
Blown away. I don't get the comments, We need an epic band like the Police ? were you at the Police show , it wasn't epic. and Jay-z is just like Kanye please JayZ has 100 times more class then Kanye. This line up is going to pose so many conflicts it's crazy.

Uh jjiggy yes I was at the Police, and NO it was not epic at all (neither was The Boss last year). But most year's other headliners were Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Tool, Phish, Beastie Boys were. As were the likes of My Morning Jacket, Wilco, moe, Band of Horses, David Byrne and other late night sets like Ghostland O, Paul O, Sacha / Diggweed. Just don't see anything like that this year.
And for your claim that JayZ has 100x more class than Kayne I beg to differ. Check out this vid
"For those who aint got the memo my name is JayZ and I'm pretty fucking awesome" then goes onto something about "Baby you like" ... "Ho!". In my opinion the HUGE ego, bling-bling and slap-the-ho crap rap has no place at the Roo.
As said it'll be our first passed over ROO since 2006 but hopefully SuperFly will get their act together and we'll be back in 2011.

I'm super stoked! Screw the debbie downers, they won't be there to ruin our fun! Jay-z, Kid Cudi, Lips, Biscuits, Weezer, Claypool....More than enough good shows to see. Only disappointment is no Neil Young

shocked, surprised, disappointed, let down. i want to go. still need a huge name to have that wow factor. and then we still need a few bigger names - paul simon, arcade fire, mmj, furthur, cheese, modest mouse, cake, explosions in the sky - any or all of these will make me feel a lot better. worst lineup i've ever seen but still some good acts. take a look at my top 10 which you'll see listed in my signature at the bottom of this post. compare that to my top 10 last year which probably included phish, the boss, byrne, wilco, ben harper, band of horses, andrew bird, bon iver, mgmt and passion pit. i know this is still the initial and we'll get more names, but for some weird reason, all of my favorites were there last year and barely any this year. this year's lineup has a strange feel, odd choices. this lineup seems like theres too much rap, harder and heavier rock and country. not enough indie bands. probably cause all the great indie bands played last year. but there is great potential for the latenight shows this year. flips, thievery, lcd, deadmau5, dan deacon, bisco, lotus. they're giving the hardcore roo fans the latenight party scene and bands, while they're trying to reel in newbies for terrible mainstream afternoon shows.

Quite funny that he began that very set with one of the classiest responses to "RAP DOESN'T BELONG AT A ROCK FESTIVAL ROAR" ever. You must have missed that part.

Sounds like Noel Gallagher stopped by Inforoo.
Anyway, I really like the lineup except I wanted to see one more big headliner like everyone else. I'm still holding out that one will get added, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Roger Waters.
the undercard is good but not great, the headliners are insulting, the lineup release method was absolutely terrible, and AC mentioning all those huge acts on twitter is even worse.
I'm a fan. Worse things have happened. To me it's always odd number years that leave a little to be desired. This year is no different. Less conflicts and more full sets. Of corse I nevergo for the headliners. In 6 Roo's I've seen 7 headliners. Total. The bluegrass is deep and we have Stevie Wonder & Jay Z. I'm ok with this line up. Could be better but it could be alot worse.
i have hope that there will be a major headliner added in the coming weeks. i read that last year they sold a lot more tickets in the week leading up to Roo than expected. thats about the time Jimmy Buffet was announced. maybe they learned something.....or 'think' they learned something....i'm quacked if i know what it is.
I'm pretty upset. Bonnaroo is my absolute favorite weekend of the year. A quick poll of our group of 14 from last year - everyone is a definitive no. Our 5 year run is over. It makes me quite sad. Hope you guys that go have a ball, though.

I will say this, with trying to start as small amount of nuts as possible. However Wakarusa for my personal tastes has a better lineup right now than Bonnaroo. As much as I like John Prine, and Tori Amos, and a lot of this undercard, the headliner and big act situation looks grim. Other than Stevie there is not much I care about until you get to Jimmy Cliff. However nobody said Bonnaroo was done yet.

I guess to me where you are at on this list is not as important as the fact that you ARE on the list. Good lineup, not great but i think some more additions are coming....and I totally nailed Weezer being at the Roo weeks ago!

The middlecard is great for my tastes....Black Keys, Damien & Nas, Dead Weather, FLips, Franti, MMW, Dropkick, Les, Blitzen, Tenacious D, Thievery Corp, Nitty Gritty....
The thing I really like about this lineup is the very thing that some are complaining about...I like the fact that there are no HUGE draw headliners. It makes me think that the majority of the attendees will be people like me, who don't go for the headliners, but the undercard acts that end up being something REALLY special. Anyway, add MMJ and I will be truly thrilled with this lineup!!!!
I always count of Bonnaroo for at least one epic show that makes the year. Just don't see it this year. I like KoL, have never seen Stevie Wonder and DMB can be great but the lack of: Roger Waters Paul Simon Neil Young truly disappoints me. But, my fault for getting sucked into the rumors. It's still Bonnaroo!
I really like this lineup, however I'm far from blown away by the headliners. My Girlfriend and I just bought a house so money is pretty tight right now and it's a long-ass drive from Montreal to Tn but after seeing the initial lineup we're going to do everything we can to make it to our third Roo. I really like the diversity on the bill. Like others have said before me, Headliners never have a huge influence on whether I go or not. Last year I went even though I can't stand Phish's music. I ended up watching their Sunday set and loved the part when Bruce came out, that actually ended up being one of my favorite things at last years fest.

I love the lineup. Like many others, I don't go for the headliners. This midlevel and undercard is stacked for my taste. And we've got so many additions to come.
For me the only thing it's missing is an epic Friday night DJ. Deadmau5 is meh, can't see him playin past sunrise.
edit: And I don't mind all the lineup haters. More room in tent only and shorter lines to get into centeroo
I am not that impressed with the line up, but am truly laughing at all the hate for Jay-Z comparing him to Kanye. Apparently none of you have heard of Glastonbury, a festival bigger Roo, in which Jay-Z killed. Rave reviews from nearly all that saw him.
Very good lineup, especially the undercard. Headliners are pretty weak though. Seems like there probably was a last minute drop out. I mean, Jay-Z (whether you like him or not) is an absolute legend, and possibly the most influential figure in commercial music (not just rap) today. Not sure why he is not considered to be a headliner, if not THE headliner. In hindsight, Superfly would have a hard time topping last year's headliners anyway, but except for Radiohead and Pearl Jam, headliner time slots make for a good break in the day back at the campsite to get ready for the evening festivities.
Undercard is diverse and interesting: Dead Weather, Flaming Lips, Damian and Nas, Avett Bros., Tori Amos, Michael Franti, Jeff Beck, and John Prine are all great. And LCD Soundsystem will be raucous. Let's hope they get a late-night set. Black Keys will rock my face off... hell yeah, and maybe a surprise Blakroc set with Damian, Nas, and Jay Electronica?
I don't go to Bonnaroo for the headliners anyway, they are just a bonus for me. The undercard and incredible community are the reason I go to the farm every year. Better yet, no Metallica or NiN, or Tool twits to deal with this year.

It seems to be towards the middle. I feel like if we here on inforoo as well as others (CoS, Superfly, DJJD) hyped it up so much that we thought we'd be getting the biggest, craziest lineup of all time with 8 headliners and stuff.
If we had absolutely no idea and they dropped this lineup on us I feel like we'd all accept it more.....but the headliners are a bit questionable IMO. Either way.....I like the lineup....but not devastated that I have to skip Roo this year.
The headliners are what brings me to the festival anymore, considering they are the ones that cost a lot of money to see normally, put on the longest sets at Roo (besides a couple of latenights), and have the most potential for something "once-in-a-lifetime" to happen. Last year, Springsteen and Phish were pretty much the ideal headliners for me (maybe two of a handful of acts that I would hand-pick to headline the festival of my dreams), so that's what brought me to the farm. This year, I think the headliners lack the firepower that Roo headliners have had in the past (i.e. the shock of Radiohead, Tool, The Police).
DMB isn't relevant anymore. I'm a huge fan of KOL, but even I have to admit that to bill them second on the lineup is simply a marketing ploy to get the teen crowd to attend Roo. Jay-Z is playing Coachella, has played All Points West, and I'm not quite sure how he's going to match that Glastonbury performance. And Stevie Wonder, while a legendary name, isn't really a huge draw for me personally, mainly because I haven't heard anything worthwhile from his camp in several years.
They are also really lacking a big name jam act, which is something I always look forward to (unless it's Widespread). Furthur or even Neil Young, as many were calling, would have given this lineup a little more jam power (even though NY isn't traditionally known as a jam act, he's jam friendly).
I was also thinking about how old I felt last year, but imagine how young the crowd is going to be this year? There are going to be a lot of frat boys and teenie boppers running around with Jay-Z, KOL, and DMB as the big draws. Kind of interesting.
