Yeah, the worry was generated becuase of the Phish situation. It's easy to forget that many people could care less that Phish got back together. I'm excited though.

I think ticket sales are lower than they expected to be at this time. My only reasoning, which is pure speculation, is that they extended the payment plan period from its original date.
Either they did this because they didn't get as many ticket sales as they had originally hoped for, or because it was overwhelmingly successful and they figure they should keep it up to get as much more $$$ as possible.

based on the lack of announcement regarding additions yet, I'm gonna take a guess that they are doing fine on ticket sales. If they were really slumping they'd be in a rush to get more names thrown out there, especially in the wake of other festival lineup announcements/additions. I think the extension of the payment plan was just because it was a very popular choice for people and they don't really sacrifice any money or profits themselves by leaving it as a viable option.

I heard from someone in the know that meetings are happening this weekend to discuss the viability of doing Bonnaroo this year. Evidently, ticket sales are off pace by 50% and there is a very real possibility that it will be canceled. I only have his word and no evidence. The economy must be a lot worse than we imagined if Bonnaroo can't sell tickets with THAT lineup.
i sure hope you are wrong because if bonnaroo got canceled i am going to be one sad puppy
My stupid butt didn't make alternate plans to see Phish. I'll be very sad. Granted, this is definitely not something to "worry about" yet. If they can even break even, they'll do it.

No, I'm not joking.
I just talked to my source in the know and they said this is not even remotely true and everything is a go at this point. No worries folks! ;D

yeah. how can it not be? dont mean to sound like an ass but they got the ph. this has to help.
^ I agree. They will only benefit even more once Phish tickets go onsale and sell out leaving roo as your sole option(outside the Fenway rumor) It will be kinda like 06 with Radiohead when they did their tour and sold out all of the shows except for roo, which sold out late June.
i mean they even added the knoxville date. got tickets to that so without the roo i probably wouldnt be going to one random show in tennessee. i dont even know how it would be talked about. its the ph and they are back! eventually it will sell out.

Good, good... my source is very real, but I don't know how real his info was (or how much he exaggerated it).
Here's what we can tell you: Instead of cancelling Bonnaroo, we're going to make it even better. Stay tuned to our website for some real cool surprises. How strong do you think those rumors are now?
