I've got to admit, I'm surprised we have not seen a sell-out yet. I think it is due in large part to the fact that Rothbury still has yet to announce their line-up. There are probably a lot of people holding out on the decision until they see what Roth has.

I think Rothbury is a factor, but I also think some of the hardcore Phish fans are holding out for the summer dates. From what I have seen on other message boards, they are reluctant to do Bonnaroo. I do think once more dates are confirmed and sold out is when we really have to worry about Bonnaroo tickets selling out.
Something to keep in mind, onc of the indicators that we are on the verge of a sellout is when the VIP are sold out.Since they pushed back the date for the payment plan, I am thinking they still have a bit of a ways before they are sold out.

or they're about to sellout and they want the people that can't afford to buy tickets until later to still have a chance to get tickets because they're almost gone? just a thought.

I agree with everything that Jay said, but also believe the lack of additions is a pretty good indicator that they haven't felt the need to give sales a shot in the arm just yet.

Excellent point.
I also think they're going to jump ticket sales back up to 110,000. This will probably "sell out" when it usually does - 3-7 days before the festival.

Roo has never sold 110,000 tickets have they, isnt the most they have ever sold 90k? 110,000 people on the farm would be pretty unbearable. Im really hoping for the 80k cap.

Yea, 110k is quite ridiculous. In 07 when they sold out, it was more than enough people. 110k is way too much and would be a big problem.
Supposedly, there were 100k+ there in 2004, but I'm not certain there was anything hard on those numbers. I know some fences went down and people were streaming in. It was my first Roo and certainly FELT the most crowded.
i also hope they don't sell 110,000 tickets... it's just too many, even in 07 when they sold out it felt a bit cramped... 80,000 is more then enough friends for me.

it was waaay too crowded that year. That had to be more than 90k. I mean, '06 was 80k and it wasn't nearly as packed.
bring on the people! open the flood gates let them all in
this!
lol. no but seriously 04 was pretty bad. i remember being scared off the what stage a couple times because i couldn't handle how far back i was yet still in a sea of people (plus i was little stuffed with corn). but i don't really mind the people when it boils down to it. the crowd at the dead 04 was amazing! some good stories waiting for them to finally go on that year. i was front row.

I don't know if you noticed, but the payment plan was extended. That is usually a move made when you aren't selling as many tickets as you want to be. There is no need to do it if you are close to sold out. My guess is they are having problems with selling VIP packages.
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
I thought it would sell out fast but now I'm thinking May . Allot of people are waiting for the Rothbury line-up and I think most of the Phish kids have got there tickets or going to try and get them at the gate. Plus going on the road with Phish is expensive and in this economy I could see some kids skipping bonnaroo all together.
yeah. after the initial excitement and debacle of phish tickets selling out has kind of worn down a little, i think that we may see tickets last until atleast may, honestly. i still firmly believe this year will sellout. but im starting to believe that it may be right before the festival. we'll see...
