1) Hitting a wall on Friday night. Sore feet. Sore neck and sholders (from the backpack). Deciding not to put up the rain cover on my tent because it didn't look like there would be a driving rainstorm. Caught the begining of MMJ and wanted to check out the SuperJam -- which was late and crowded and wet. Anyways, by the time they started I was pretty cranky and left after just one song so that I could catch the rest of MMJ. When I got there, they went on a set break and I gave up and went back to the tent. I really should've stuck that out.
2) While I enjoyed Vampire Weekend, if I had it to do over again I would've left early to go catch more of Lezzie Z. (Awesome show.)
3) And this is a minor one: trying the jambalya/po boy combo from the Somethin' Else takeout stand. Awful, awful New Orleans food. It was nothing like the real thing. Just awful.
Edit: Oh, and Kanye. WTF? That was just embarrassing for everybody. I was enjoying Ghostland (who I'd never heard before), not to mention Phil Lesh and The Other Tent Rap Buffet but I cut out to catch all of Kanye. There was no excuse for how that played out, Kanye and SuperFly...

Definitely skipping Talib Kweli and Chali 2na to see Kanye and heading to bed early Thursday night because I was so tired. But I had been up for 40 hours straight so i guess i needed the sleep more than I needed to see Vampire Weekend. And probably Sunday for not checking out as many bands as I wanted to since I didnt know a lot about a lot of the bands playing that day.
Kanyes late night disaster prevented me from seeing real music. Thats my main regret, i left Sigur Ros early and sat around in a field. It was a major buzzkill for all involved. Hundreds of dollars were wasted waiting for him to come on.
The Kanye fiasco was my biggest regret as well. Only caught pats of sigur ros, ghostland, and Phil & friends to freeze my ass off in an empty field. Kanye needs a good beating for the bs he pulled.
I have not one regret...not one. Well, maybe looking down on my way to the bathroom early one morning and seeing a massive pile of vomit. That, I regret.

Did the looking down prevent you from stepping on it? Maybe not a regret anymore?

Mine was not seeing the entire Ghostland Observatory set (although I was able to hear the rest of it from my camping area). My husband got sleepy and whined a little, so I went back to camp with him at his request.
Next year, he'll just have to go to bed all by himself.
Not staying for the whole Tiesto set. I had hit a wall at that point. Slept for about an hour under the tent just trying to hang on. My body made it through 1 hour of Tiesto and then I just couldn't take it.
Every time it would start to rain there was a huge push into the tent. I couldn't breathe, I had to pee, my feet hurt, and I caught some chick trying to unzip my camelbak when I turned around.

not taking a greyhound bus back to Duluth MN when my friends wanted to leave before noon on sunday, im pretty ticked about missing that day but i will say Nashville was pretty badass
My one regret from this year (at least from a musical perspective) was, after an hour, going from MMJ to Superjam. Terrible decision. If I could do that over again, theres no way I'd leave that set.
Leaving MMJ to go to Superjam. First, that sucked because MMJ was amazing and I had a feeling I shouldn't leave (but my crowd wanted to). Second, we stopped on the way to get hot beverages and I got a scalding hot tea and my cup collapsed and I burned the shiznet out of my left hand (like cannot wear wedding set and skin all scarred still). That plus the rain and my exhaustion... well missed Superjam and just headed back to camp.
I also regret heading back to camp for a little nap and ended up missing Jack Johnson and a few other shows through the weekend. But really, I was pregnant, sober and had to be comfort first and I still saw twice what I did last year and had ten times as amazing of an experience!! ;D
1) not getting more phone numbers and emails of the really cool people I met. 2) skipping Ghostland Observatory to wait around for Kanye West for two hours plus. 3) not finding the real Shakedown Street. 4) not bringing a bottle to pee in surreptitiously at Sigur Ros. 5) not seeing Chris Rock.

1. Missed a good portion of Sigur Ros for a good spot at Kanye 2. Missed Superjam because I left my car windows open 3. Missed Broken Social Scene to jumpstart my car 4. Missed "The Sword" to catch the first 2 acts in the comedy tent 5. Was sheepish on Shakedown and didn't score favors 6. Missed the Claypool Q & A to eat food 7. Lost my newfound friends from the Metallica rail crew to the crowd 8. Didn't get a single autograph 9. Didn't ride the Ferris Wheel, or the Silent Disco
Locking my keys in the trunk of my car at noon on friday and having to pay 150$ to get them out. But I guess that it is better that it was friday and not sunday when all my money would have been gone

POW! Bingo! I knew somebody else made the same decision. I LOVE Les, but that particular lineup was not as good as the MMJ show. I did get to see about an hour of MMJ (up close too!).
My only other regret was not staying at Ghostland longer. But based on the rules I have placed on maximizing the number of bands I wanted to see, I always have to leave shows early to get to the next one.
I did make it to 63 of the 72 shows I intended to see!
If it makes anybody feel better, it took me 4 Bonnaroo's to figure out how to not get overexhausted and miss shows because I had to sleep. Don't worry, Roo '09 will be here before you know it and you can improve on it!
Going back to the VIP camping area too many times and maybe missing some things. Last year we were in BFE and pretty much stuck in Centeroo all day.
Next year will be different though.
yeah that's prolly the one drawback of vip, being able to relax at your tent (as opposed to on the grass somewhere in centeroo) is nice, but you can miss out on a lot of the atmosphere
My main regret was not crawling/forcing my way into bed with my tent mate when I woke up freezing my butt off. That would have given me a few more good hours of sleep over the weekend.
my biggest regret would be missing most of friday late night shows...i watched chris rock, and several songs of metallica, and then decided with the rain that i wanted a sweater...i walked back to my tent, then decided that a 30 min nap would be superb, however, i didnt wake up until the following morning...the only upside to crashing out was that i was refreshed and ready for the rest of the weekend
