Here's my last two cents, because I'm broke.
F*ck the high road? Hmmmm.....apparently you parents taught you nothing. Intelligence reigns supreme with you Stallion, WOW. You bring enough consistent negativity here to Inforoo, it makes me wonder if this message board is just your punching bag. Not all of us are tree hugging hippies that you hate, I certainly am not, but I am a level-headed individual that DOES choose to take the high road. Kanye DOES deserve negative press, I completely agree. Kanye did steal a little of my Sat. night thunder, but guess what, it HAPPENED, its OVER, and moving on is IMO the best option. And seriously, a "hopefully short" career? Like it or not, Kanye West is one of the best producers of the past 10 years or so, and has proved it. While he screwed us over with his antics this year at Bonnaroo, he will WITH OUT A DOUBT, be around for more years than you care to think about.
Next year I will be wearing a shirt that says "Kanye Still Sucks". The front will have a picture of his face with a big X on it. The back will have a Bonnaroo logo perhaps with the words "Kanye Free Zone" or something along those lines.

how bout next year wear a shirt that says...i dunno...stop littering....something more positive that send a REAL message...never seen the main stage soo dirty...its not difficult
No, its not. Thats why theres a Clean Vibes organization and countless recycling cans located all over the farm. A shirt that says "Stop Littering" isn't necessary when positive messages are located everywhere else you look.

i'm afraid you are right, but sometimes i wonder what you or i could do if we stumbled upon millions of dollars and could work in a studio producing albums. It may or may not be just button mashing and signing your name to a piece of paper. I don't know, and probably never will... so...

this is quite true, but i rather think that Stallion is in the right here. i don't know what his stance was before Bonnaroo, but if he was really excited to see Kanye and was let down, let him bitch about it. But if his stance before Roo was Kanye Sucks, and now Kanye Sucks HARDER... then i'd like to see the negativity dropped.
FOR ME, the kanye set was one of the most "MEMORABLE" because it has a big long story behind it and it REALLY sticks out in any persons mind who went to Bonnaroo in 2008. June 15th, 2008 will go down in history as the most infamous set in Bonnaroo History, like it or not!

i'll agree with this. def one of the more memorable moments this year, i have already told this story to anyone that will listen and i didn't even stay for his set.
i just hope a large amount of people boo him at lollapalooza. i have a friend who will be there who wasn't at bonnaroo, but i'm gonna tell her to boo him anyway.
Hello, I saw your post about Nelson Ledges and I wanted to ask your advice on selling stuff there. Me and my friend just got back from bonnaroo and besides drugs there were some people walking around selling other stuff, t-shirts, spiked coffee, etc. Are there any opportunities to sell stuff at Nelson Ledges? We just want to off-set the cost of going. Do you think if we tried to sell good sandwiches for 3 $ or so we'd make any money? I hear food is pretty cheap there anyways. Any advice, ideas?
^Well that is a bit much. I had the most positive and musically diverse Bonnaroo I have ever had. I saw 18 shows most of them awesome, I didn't get Kanyed I was at Chali2na.
How freaking incredible was that show? I was so happy I decided to check that out.
well hearing all the stories of fights, shoving, crushing crowds and kanye im so freeking happy i bailed from roo... and i know i waited until there was no hope left. but im so happy that there are other fests out there that made it so roo could even happened. but roo took that and abused the scene and now roo is is a joke. it can never go back. it will either be an mtv shitshow wiith the problems that go along with fests like that until woodstock type poop happens or it will go under from everyone saying quack it. there are only so many radio bands out there. and they put on the same show everytime. the true festie scene bands have fans that want to see 500 shows. radio bands its only cool for a time or two. but i guess there is a whole new generation of young mtv radio kids who dont know any better looking for a way to get quacked up, act retarded, and celebrate graduation coming around every year. god im glad i finally broke ties with my love of roo. but in reality roo dumped me. and thousands more that helped build it. not only that but everyone hates superfly now. good luck with thtat property and throwing more fests, because i know no one thats in a rush to invest their money in anything superfly is ever going to do again. they are the walmart of festie land. only with less of a future. i put giving superfly money right up there with my taxes killing innocent people in iraq. not quite as bad, but its still disgusting!. im so freeking happy that all good is around the bend. good music, good people, and goodtimes. the mighty dollar takes a back seat and i cant wait. no 300 dollar ticket. no radio/mtv music and the a$$hole artists and fans that crap brings, no security jacking everyone, no cops... damn i cant wait!!!
hey all you not-sees???? can you see now? the journey is complete. "we have arrived" isnt the diversity beautiful and is it safe to say kanyes a Summers breeze now. roo came and went. hes still a Summers breeze and a horrible performer (i wont even call him a musician) and hey the wish list is in for next year... its lookin like tenacious d and weezer head the list. sounds like another diverse time!!!!!
Can't say I didn't see this comin....personally I blame radiohead

I hope people stop bashing Superfly and asking for apologies. Sometimes in business you take chances. They took a big chance. It didn't pay off greatly. Many were left upset and in a bad mood.
I had a great time. Sucked waiting but still enjoyed every minute of it. It's really stupid that Kanye would make everyone else stop.........but it's over.
Superfly made a mistake..........they will probably try their best to make up for it next year.

i think they will apologize by trying to put together a line-up like '06' because that to me seemed to be the peak of the festival as it seemed to be most everyone's favorite line-up
IDK other than the headliners, and the subject of this thread, I think this was arguably one of the best years ever. That being said it is hard to beat Oysterhead, and Radiohead all in one year.

We waited til like 3:15am then were like quack this, and went to the tent. I really had hoped he would have an awesome show (even if I don't love his music), and maybe change some opinions of him, but he really just proved he doesn't deserve the fans or fame. Not anyone's fault but his own. I still love roo and I think everyone should get a chance, but he blew his and now everybody knows his ego is too big to even apologize for being so late.
^Well in all fairness I would have been just as pissy in GNR was mini headlining as well. ^Also I think if GNR was scheduled at 2:45 on the big stage I would have to reconsider my Bonnaroo.

I'm not saying for Bonnaroo but back in the day Axl was know for being a huge dick. Showing up to shows late, not showing at all, canceling shows, etc. and people still payed a lot of money to see GNR. Is Kanye the modern day Axl Rose or is it worse to do this shit today?

the reason i am so upset about Kanye is because i wanted nothing to do with him from the second i saw his name on the lineup until probably 2 AM ish on Sat/Sun. This is when i decided, hey its bonnaroo, all my friends are going and im tripping so ill be up anyways, hopefully this guys live act will be enough to change my opinion of him. well no, i was just further annoyed he was invited to play at all.
However, more annoying than that, is the dudes posts complaining of Bonnaroo. bleh, stfu. mindless drivel about how things used to be better and will never be the same. if you dont want to go, thats fine, but is their a need to point out how all the bands there are on the radio and are lame? its just rofl and lame to read.
I saw his show, and it wasn't THAT bad. A little less than expected, but expectations are just that, expectations.
I read that stuff about him being at a party earlier that night, and that is a little irresponsible, but that's Superfly's problem to deal with him.
I thought it was a ton of fun seeing everything yelling out a familiar chant, and adding to the "BONNAROO" ones. Not everyone was doing it out of hate, or negativity, it's just really fun to yell things, because you can't do that in the public every day life.
