going to cake tonight at the ryman, should be a great show, hope they play roo!
I saw them about a month ago, the lead singer was kind of an ass. They sounded great but his mood brought it down a bit. Maybe it was just our venue but I'm curious to know if he's always like that. I hope he's in better spirits for your show tonight!
Anyways, I saw Girl Talk a few nights ago and it was a blast. Everyone had a good time. The crowd got a little to rowdy at points, pushing and shoving, but it was a good time regardless.

Hahaha that's funny, he was kind of an ass at the ryman too, but it got better as the show went on. It seemed like he wanted so much audience participation. Like wayne coyne, but he was a bit angrier than wayne haha. But overall it was a great show. Except he screwed up comfort eagle at the beginning because he was drunk haha.

Yes! Exactly! He did the same thing. Kept getting on the audience for not clapping or singing back the words to him. It did get better but it was slightly awkward at first. Haha, yes an angry less laser-y/confettied version of Wayne Coyne.

Tea Leaf Green last night in Bloomington. Sons of Bill opened and weren't too shabby.
Only half of TLG was there on time. The bass player was just a little late because he flew to Bloomington, IL instead of IN. The guitarist missed the 1st set but set the second set on fire.

Saw Cake last weekend. Nothing to gush about but they were good and it was a fun show. Lots of fun crowd interaction. And their sense of humor is amusing.
Saw 'Does it offend you, yeah?' last night and HOLY SHIT they rocked the fucking roof off of the social. Fucking exploding with energy. Great great show, totally worth the 3.5 hr drive to Orlando.

saw the dynamites featuring charles walker this past weekend. interviewed guitarist bill elder before the show. doesn't look like they'll be playing bonnaroo this year. or will they?
Saw Little Dragon, Two Door Cinema Club, and Young the Giant over the weekend. All fantastic.
In the future, I've got coming up: Black Eyed Peas (at the Superbowl), Biffy Clyro, White Rabbits, Civil Twilight, Warpaint, The Kills, and TDCC and Young the Giant again (and SXSW, of course).

I caught Best Coast and Wavves Monday at Granada in Dallas. If you already like either of the bands its worth going to. Wavves is a professional garage band and Best coadst is a little more chill.
Saw Alejandro Escovedo last night for the second time. The guy is a bona fide badass and rules live. Kyp Malone (TV On The Radio, Rain Machine) opened and was also excellent.
Caught Kylesa a couple weeks ago and they absolutely destroyed
Went to Huntsville to see the Drive-By truckers, and former Guitarist Jason Isbell came up and sat in for several songs.. He hasnt played with DBT in over 4 years.

lol I saw Linkin Park the other night. free ticket, so it's like, eh, why not. I did have quite the amount of beer - but even then, I think I can say this with confidence : they actually did sound good. I think a handful of what they played were shite songs as far as quality, but I was impressed with their ability to actually sound decent. If ever a free ticket presents itself, I'd recommend.

Very jealous! I would love to see them live.
I saw Sevendust, Disturbed and Korn last night. It was a good show overall and I was thrilled to finally get to see Korn. Sevendust were by far the best "live" band on the bill though - I was pleasantly surprised!

And as usual I was there with good Video
Great video, what hardware did you use? External mic? I'm assuming you were on a tripod or are you that steady?

Yeah I had a Kodak Playtouch pocket like camera connected to the deck and Mics we use to tape bands (what i used at roo10) and another camera on a tripod.
recently caught that 1 guy for the second time. If you have the opportunity to catch him on his current tour it is worth checking out. Tix are only 10 bucks
oh shit….now that I think about it I once witnessed Morgan Rose (drummer of Sevendust) throw a drumstick into the crowd then whoever caught it threw it back on stage and Morgan caught it and continued playing with it without missing a beat.
T-minus 6-ish hours until the Lotus show tonight! Stoked!
::edit
That was easily one of my top 15 live shows of all time (excludin' Bonnaroo shows, those are in their own category). I haven't danced like the rhythmically challenged white-boy that I am in a very long time! If I had the money I'd drive down to Raleigh to catch their next show on Tuesday! Absolutely amazin'. And Daedalus was a lot of fun too as an opener.
