I know by know you've seen that Maynard James Keenan says these two acts will be there. I've seen alice cooper 7 times. Always fun and entertaining. Not really bonnaroo material though. Tool is my favorite band and I follow everything Maynard does. He likes to joke about stuff all the time. I think he's yanking our chain. I guess we'll know tuesday. Oh, and danzig sucks.

Your evaluation of what is Bonnaroo material and Danzig in general suck. In fact this thread sucks, do you mind just deleting it?
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I love love love Alice Cooper. It just doesn't seem like a fit to me. I love all types of music. I didn't think gwar was a fit either, and obviously people enjoyed it. I will promise I will be at the very front if he is there. He was my first concert. And the best part about Alice being there would being able to finally convince my parents to go to one music festival before they get too old. Danzig was really bad the last time I seen the. That's why I said they suck. Maybe it was an off night? I would be willing to give them another chance, depending on who else was playing. Though I don't know you, I will be at roo this year and I would be willing to bet you Maynard was lying. I hope that I am wrong. But I will gladly bet you then pay you if I lose this june on the farm. Please don't judge me based off of one post. It's not everyday you hear that Alice Cooper the original(best) shock rocker is going to be playing the same place phish and radiohead will be at. Here's to hoping my opinions suck and he kills himself multiple ways on stage like he did on the gruesome twosome tour with Rob Zombie.
If Alice Cooper is there I will totally be doin' the Wayne's World "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!" bit. Not that I'm a huge fan, but when am I ever gonna have the chance to do that?

My daughter offered me a ticket in 2009 and it took me about 5 seconds to say yes, and we left for the festival two days later. It forever changed me. I probably was older then than your parents are now.
So I'd love to hear your definition of too old....

I love to gamble. I'll be the optimist and take your bet. Name the wager. Roo has typically had a tent that was themed/curated with bands that aren't the typical Roo fare. I could absolutely see a tent with Alice Cooper, Danzig and a couple other bands of the same ilk. Maybe Alice would even curate the tent that day.
I used to be a big Tool fan and basically enjoyed everything Maynard did. Now I realize Maynard is an arrogant prick that really doesn't care about his fans. Still love the rest of Tool but can't stand Maynard.
I doubt AC would tell an artist who else would be playing their tent before they are even booked. Maynard is probably just being a jackass here. If he is telling the truth proves he is more of a prick.
i just saw Tool tonight in Atlanta and that band is amazing live. I could watch the drummer all night as no one can hit it like him. Maynard is of course his usual back of the stage self, but he rocked it tonight too. As a band they are just ridiclious and so insync.
Anyways I could totally see Danzig and Cooper being at Roo. Nothing should surprise you these days with Roo. I was hoping for Mastodon as well.
I have nothing but love for Alice Cooper. I have my father to thank for that.
I'm STLL trying to convince him to com to tennennesee again. I think he would only go if he had an RV and somone to cook/cut up his food for him. My mother doeas everything for him.
He's the best and he taught me everything I know about music. But he's old and set in his ways and doesn't like to go more that 20 minutes from hom unless its for Steppenwolf.

I have a feeling he was joking but if it was true, I will be very happy. Shortly after all this hit, Danzig posted this on their facebook: "Mommy can I go out & kill tonight?" Maybe they are not happy with the leak? Or maybe just being weird
Ummmmmmm Glenn Danzig f***ing rules, dude. Or at least he used to. He fronted the Misfits when they were awesome and he was Josh Homme before Josh Homme, except way more punk-rock.
SO IF YOU WANNA FIND HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL WITH MEEEEEEEEEE
I dunno. What's strange is ACE has booked both Alice Cooper and Danzig very recently. While I don't think that alone means they will be there, I find it odd MJK uses them as a reference point.
Unless Danzig is playing a Legacy set, I'll pass. He wasn't that great the last time I saw him last year.
Alice Cooper would be cool not realy familiar with Danzig
"MOTHER!"
song by Danzig. Danzig is ok IMO. I got kicked out of a restaurant one time for giving a horrible karoke performance of that song (impromptu performance with kids and old people all around)
Where Eagles Dare is actually one of my favorite songs ever. I just refuse to believe The Misfits broke up after the first Danzig solo record. I'd love to see both of them there.
I think that's the problem with this .. It fits.
I think so, if you buy into what MJK is saying. Pusicfer>Danzig>Alice Cooper .. or however the order would be. Feels like a theme to me.
