So Maynard was telling the truth about Danzig and Cooper both being at Roo. He also said they were in a "tent." Do we think that part is true or did Maynard just not really know the logistics of the fest? Could Alice Cooper really be in a tent? I thought he had a pretty big stage show
Probably isn't much more elaborate than Gwar's. Either the last late night show in a tent or something like the spot Primus got last year after Dispatch.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

I think they will both be in a tent. I could see a That tent all day metal/hard situation with one of them closing it for the evening and the other starting out the LN. You could slot in Kvelertak and Bad Brains in there and I'm sure this weeks artist additions will hold another 1- 2 heavy acts.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
i wonder how many people really only care about the misfits part of danzigs set. I know thats the only part ill be there for. I just hope he doesnt get pissed during the first 2/3 of his show because people are at other sets and are only coming to his show for the last part
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
This pairing upsets me more than almost anything on the lineup, mainly because I am positive that AC/Superfly is all "well, we got some good metal on the lineup! NOW ITS TIME FOR MORE BANDS THAT WERE HOT LAST YEAR!" The fact that these are the biggest "metal" names on the lineup in a year where Mastodon, Baroness, Opeth, Meshuggah, Pelican, Wolves in the Throne Room, and more are touring is just irritating.
Would you consider Alice Cooper metal? I would consider it more Rock than anything.
Oddly, the Ke$ha duet worked really well. Probably my second favorite song on the album. And this is coming from someone who despises Ke$ha. Alice played it smart and wrote a duet that needed someone to play a young bloodsucking diva and, let's face it, that isn't really stretching Ke$ha's range much.
But Alice has always done that, all the way back to working with Donovan on Billion Dollar Babies and appearing on the Muppet Show when people swore it would ruin his career by softening his image.
The Alice Cooper episode if the Muppet Show is my favorite episode!
Also, I think I've mentioned it before, but you guys should check out his autobiography. Half golf tips, half stories. He's a smart guy and really interesting.
That's the funny part. Everyone thought it would ruin his image, but Alice has said on several occasions that you wouldn't believe how many people have come up to him and said "I saw you on The Muppets when I was a kid. That's what made me an Alice Cooper fan."
The metal tent has never really been dubbed the metal tent; that's just what we call it. Look at past years and you will see Coheed and Cambria, NOFX, and other non-metal bands in the tent.
With that, I hope they do bring in someone like High on Fire to replace Kvelertak. My own preference goes to Valient Thorr though.
As for Alice and Danzig, this might be my first time ever to really spend a considerable amount of time in the "metal" tent. I've had the Misfits and Alice Cooper on repeat for the past month.
^ wasnt originally planning on this set but now i think its a must. if its anything like the stumble i found myself on at GWAR in 10' ill be a happy man.
