I would love to see Danzig on the far but I doubt this is the case. I don't really get what kind of joke he was trying to make though? Dude seems like an ass.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
I love love love Alice Cooper. It just doesn't seem like a fit to me. I love all types of music. I didn't think gwar was a fit either, and obviously people enjoyed it. I will promise I will be at the very front if he is there. He was my first concert. And the best part about Alice being there would being able to finally convince my parents to go to one music festival before they get too old. Danzig was really bad the last time I seen the. That's why I said they suck. Maybe it was an off night? I would be willing to give them another chance, depending on who else was playing. Though I don't know you, I will be at roo this year and I would be willing to bet you Maynard was lying. I hope that I am wrong. But I will gladly bet you then pay you if I lose this june on the farm. Please don't judge me based off of one post. It's not everyday you hear that Alice Cooper the original(best) shock rocker is going to be playing the same place phish and radiohead will be at. Here's to hoping my opinions suck and he kills himself multiple ways on stage like he did on the gruesome twosome tour with Rob Zombie.
I love to gamble. I'll be the optimist and take your bet. Name the wager. Roo has typically had a tent that was themed/curated with bands that aren't the typical Roo fare. I could absolutely see a tent with Alice Cooper, Danzig and a couple other bands of the same ilk. Maybe Alice would even curate the tent that day.
I love to gamble too. But seeing we're all like family at the roo we don't want to rip each other off too badly. Say a beer? Or fresh squeezed lemonade? Hell, I'll even say a shirt from the merch booth? I still have my fingers crossed that he's there. I've yet to see him close. The closest I seen him from was row 13 when he was on tour with Heaven and Hell and Queensryche.

My daughter offered me a ticket in 2009 and it took me about 5 seconds to say yes, and we left for the festival two days later. It forever changed me. I probably was older then than your parents are now.
So I'd love to hear your definition of too old....
My paps will be 57 this year, my mother 54. They used to be quite the party people. Only in the last 4-5 years have they slowed down. It's almost like once I was able to drink and go out with them, they quit doing it. I'm hoping to get them on the farm one year so they can get that boost to not be old and lazy anymore. Rush, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, or the Rolling Stones could help seal the deal.
I have nothing but love for Alice Cooper. I have my father to thank for that.
I'm STLL trying to convince him to com to tennennesee again. I think he would only go if he had an RV and somone to cook/cut up his food for him. My mother doeas everything for him.
He's the best and he taught me everything I know about music. But he's old and set in his ways and doesn't like to go more that 20 minutes from hom unless its for Steppenwolf.
Anyways...*gulp*
you're dad and my dad sound like they could be best buds... also. steppenwolf at roo would be incredible. just sayin'.
i'm just excited because i've been hoping for an alice cooper latenight since i first heard of bonnaroo.

I'd love to have Danzig on the farm. Off topic but I got to spend a bit of time with Glenn back last October I believe. He came to a MMA gym w/ a bodyguard and I think some kind of manager or assistant and I actually got to spar with him. The guy claims to have a huge passion for the sport and wishes he could to pursue it if he was younger. (Glad he isn't going to try though, he wasn't capable of much)

Got to see Cooper a few years back and he still has the goods...however it would be hard for all of his theater props to get setup quickly so he would almost have to be the last act on the night in a tent if this is true.

maynard defiently wants you to think of him as an ass. He has a long history of sarcasm that would make Juggs look like a school boy. Get a bootleg of the Bonnaroo show he did and listen to his sarcasm. I have seen him multiple times he mainly likes to get people to believe in what he says kind of like he is mocking his own "infalliable" status. The only thing he is serisous about is his music and wine. Other then that take whatever he says with a grain of salt. Probably Puscifer will wind up playing on the lineup. And he just threw that out there as a red herring. I have predicted Puscifer playing for a long time after all in their first CD there is a cartoon mocking the dirty hippies at Bonnaroo. Swear to god the dad is wearing a 2007 Bonnaroo tie-dye t-shirt. It is even visible after the family is fumigated by the EPA in Biohazard suits.

Never have been a big Cooper fan at all, but I have enjoyed some of Danzig's stuff... his "IV" album is actually quite good, and of course he had some iconic work with The Misfits. But I would have no idea what a show from him nowadays would be like.
Danzig would rock the Roo. No doubt. I love the song "Cantspeak". So simple, so powerful.
Problem is: this video from like 16 years ago. ALOT has changed. I fucking loveeeeee old Danzig, but anything from the past few years is just plain tired. By 94-95 the Danzig that most enjoy and love was pretty much done. The novelty of singing "Mother" or "Going Down To Die" at the top of their lungs would be great, but I honestly think Bonnaroo has a certain level of sophistication, and that doesn't include Danzig (or Alice Cooper).
