I have a good feeling that both Down and Pelican will be there...Down because they have connections to Corrosion of Conformity who have connections to Stanton Moore and because I heard on the World Cafe one day that they were doing some kind of music program in New Orleans where they teach or educate kids on playing music or something along those lines, can't remember all of it exactly...Pelican because they are playing Langerado and are getting mentioned in magazines such as Relix and they would be an excellent addition if they bring back a heavier tent like This Tent was last year on Thursday (Black Angels/Mute Math/Clutch)

Yeah, I'm with you on that, there is NO way we would see this at Bonnaroo. I love Down, and have seen them a couple of times, but not for any reason do I see Phil talking to the Roo crowd between songs about how {in Phils voice}"Were the best fuckin' band on the planet" And i really dont see the "COC/Stanton Moore connections" amounting to much than just that, "connections"
EDIT: I do wish there was a Chicago date for the tour right now, Indy isnt gonna work for me. I really wanted to see Kingdom of Sorrow on their first big tour.
I saw Isis open up for Tool in Pittsburgh in september 06, and it was one of the best shows ive ever seen. They really know how to jam out for awhile then break it down...and i heard someone say they have been at 'roo before??? ...i dont know if they have another album in the works or not, but i say bring 'em on anyway oh, and i saw someone up there talkin about big business... i also (ironically) saw them open up for tool in huntington, and while i couldn't stand their vocalist their drummer KICKS ASS. he came back out later and had a drum duel with danny carey, probably one of the msot amazing things ive ever witnessed.
I was at the Huntington Tool show and I agree with that. Big Business was pretty horrible, but when the drummer came out during Lateralus, it was pretty awesome.
I saw the same thing happen with Melt Banana.
The current version of the Melvins includes Big Business. They have 2 drummers (Coady Willis and Dale Crover). The live show is amazing.

I could see Phil bringing out the Southern Cross (more popularly referred to as Stars and Bars)....things could get ugly.
They should have like a Southern Metal Superjam with Phil, Shooter Jennings, and Hank III, and Down's drummer Bower

As much as love the roaring sounds of the deftones and chino and he rest of the guys and seeing every show they have had in the North texas area... i think they would cancel out anything and everything, if they played...I think QOTSA would be just spot on.
