Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I love bonnaroo and most of the artists this year, but COME ON! Cheese, Soundtribe, and Superjam at the same time??? Are you serious? thats easily 3 of top 7-8 acts i'm trying to see at Roo. How can they all be at the same time?? BOOOO! I love you bonnaroo! but BOOOOO!
Im just going to walk around and check out all of the tents on this nite, I would like to see some of alot of things going on at the same time that nite, and I cant pick just one. I will get to see three nights of SCI at Big Summer Classic here in Missouri, but I know this one is going to be extra special. Why couldnt they have stretched out the schedule more so we as paying ticketholders can get more for our money? That is the one thing I am disappointed about this year, I mean they could have stuff starting in the morning and go until dawn. Look at the Wakarusa schedule, and compare to Roo.Roo needs to make theirs look more like Wackys.
what a brilliant idea. i like that alot. but then no one would get ANY sleep period. music till 6am- starts back up at 8am? yikes! :-) still i completely agree with spreading it out like that. especially more in the day. i was upset to see how this year alot of conflicts start and end at the same time for me. in previous year more acts were staggered and this wasn't a problem. ahh well...
I think superfly has a spy here in the inforoo net and saw all these people whining about this being the worst lineup ever (not saying i agree with the whiners, but they are present unfortunately)
This was their response.
Mad karma, superfly spy if I ever find out who you are
except it dosent appeal to the people who were complaining about the lineup. most of those peeps will be at sci or sts9. in fact its exactly the opposite. i think it appeals more to the tool, police, and white stripes crowd. most of them dont know string cheese incident or sound tribe sector 9 but ben harper, questlove, and led zeppelin all set off cool bells. superfly knows that the jam crowd that is coming have their tickets and putting something against sci and sts9 isnt going to bring anymore of them around. but announcing this will sell some more tix to the newer rooers. that and it will create a frenzy at all of the radiostations which will sell a few more tix. thats how i see it anyhow.

I've got my fingers crossed for Morello joining in the fray, but I've long since crossed Jack out as an option -- he's doing a gig in Europe. Still, seeing him play lead on some Zeppelin tracks would be unforgettable -- maybe it will be the first SuperJam with members jamming via sattellite?
Oh Morello WILL be there - my sheer willpower focused on that one single thought will make it so!

judging by your signature, i can tell the only reason you are going to bonnaroo is for tool....
Also, for those of you keeping up with all things Bonnaroo -- John Paul Jones, arguably most well-known as the bassist for Led Zeppelin, will be part of the foundation for this year's so-called "SuperJam", scheduled for Friday (June 15th) at midnight. Here's hoping he joins Tool on-stage during their set for a once-in-a-lifetime performance of "No Quarter." §
I honestly would not be surprised at all if we saw JPJ come out and play No Quartar with Tool. I mean I don't know anything about Tool and I don't know too much about JPJ but I do know that he's really been tapping into the music industry lately. And when you think about it why wouldn't Tool or JPJ want to do it. There both rock giants and would obviously enjoy the chance to collaborate with each other.

A just what exactly is the Tool-Police-White Stripes crowd? I'd say the superjam this year appeals to the crowd of people who love great music. Last year's Superjam was definatly a concessio to jam band fans, but it really wasn't that special since it was just GRAB warming up for their tour. This year's will be a once-in-a-lifetime event combining 3 great musicians. That's the kind of thing I keep coming back to Bonnaroo to see.

Ummm I just realized something. How the freaking hell is everyon going to fit at the Other Tent for this show. I mean I understand that everyone's going to be spread out that night. But correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure there's going to be a rather large turnout for this one. I'm willing to bet more than that tiny tent can handle. I mean seriously, I'm giving up my last chance to see one of my all time favorite bands (String Cheese) to go see this and I'm sure many more people are with me on that one.

Thats where it was last year for GRAB and i thought it was plenty of room. But last year, they didnt announce who was going to be there
The Other Tent is the smallest one wear UM/Bisco and Sasha were.
I'm sure there will be enough room, though, with 3 other late nights going on at the same time as apposed to only 2 like last year. I'll still be at SCI.

i ddint mean it in an demeaning way. just responding to someone saying the superjam was chosen to appease or market to jam fans that didnt dig the lineup. its obvious that putting something against sci and sts9 is not gonna have that effect. the fact is alot of people are coming to roo for tool, the white stripes, and the police. the more "mainstream' (for lack of a better word) or radio portion of the lineup. and they like to hear some names they have actually heard of before like led zepplin. all of my non festival/music friends that i told who was in the superjam were like oh thats ok. then i explain who JPJ is and they freek out. it may have been put into the superjam because its just great music. im not gonna say it isnt. i wish there were no conflicts at roo so i can see it. but it was announced to stir up some last minute hype at radio stations around the country and sell some more tickets to the radio crowd because its not selling out. its certainly not for the jam fans. nothing against anyone who like any of the mentioned bands. not saying they are good or bad. just that the superjam announcement was not some miraculous gift from the great superfly to jam fans that dont love the lineup changes. but it thins out the sci crowd so that is good news for us too!

I'm very excited that so many other people are excited to see the Superjam. I was hoping for something that would pull some people away from the SCI show. I just hope STS9 is still going after SCI is over.

I didn't take it as demeaning, I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from. It seems like ever since last year you have been intent on making a distinction between "jam band fans" and everyone else. You've said you don't like the classification of "Jam bands," but your're dissapointed every time there's an addition and its not a "jam band." I guess I'm just confused. I disdain labels on music as well, and I don't see how the addition of a legendary musician to an already stellar lineup can be to "appease" anybody but fans of great music. Why divide us into "jam band fans" and "non-jam band fans?" In general, I don't like bands that are given that label, but there's a few that I can really get into, so where does that leave me?
