Please all SCI fans..... GO- not to be negative but there is nothing I would like better than to know that I missed the "last" SCI show to see one of the greatest. Looking at my catalogue of music there are very few that were not influenced and or ripped of the music of JPJ. Much respect roo crew for making my day...... oh and I cannot get the chapelle's show episode out of my head in the barbershop with ?uestlove.
?uestlove LOVES Band of Gypsies, JPJ is from the 60's/70's scene, and Ben Harper would be pretty damn good as the frontman for it...plus there are rumors that they were trying to do it at the last Bonnaroo...and Morello has a possibility of guesting, and HE loves Hendrix, too.
This sounds amazing... I'll definitely be there over SCI and Sound Tribe.
I wanted to see Ben Harper and The Roots, but they're up against Ween and Manu Chao/Black Keys, so it'll be good to get a chance to see them and throw John Paul Jones into the mix... Sounds like a can't miss performance!

i just saw the announcement and i am VERY STOKED to see John Paul Jones. i just KNEW that Questlove was gonna play the SuperJam but with Ben and JPJ!!! that is sooo fuicking AWESOME!! i don't care if they play polka, its gonna be good.
This is beyond amazing. There's gonna be so many awesome guests(please let Tom Morello be there). I just wished they wouldn't have announced it cause I was gonna be there anyway. Now it's gonna be alot harder to get a good spot. Oh well. You can't really complain about something as kick ass as this
Not a huge Tom Morello fan but, like someone mentioned before hand.....I think he would tear the shit outta "Machine Gun". That song seems like it fits his style alot. Ben Harper, Tom Morello, ?uestlove, JPJ and Band of Gypsys......that would be incredible.Those guys jamming the shit out of "Power to Love".......that'd make my weekend right there.

Led Zeppelin is really big about keeping old Zeppelin songs from being played which is kind of a bummer because Tom Morello would be a great sit in for Page. Can you imagine another Page or Plant joining?!

I think superfly has a spy here in the inforoo net and saw all these people whining about this being the worst lineup ever (not saying i agree with the whiners, but they are present unfortunately)

I've got my fingers crossed for Morello joining in the fray, but I've long since crossed Jack out as an option -- he's doing a gig in Europe. Still, seeing him play lead on some Zeppelin tracks would be unforgettable -- maybe it will be the first SuperJam with members jamming via sattellite?
