Keller Williams rocked although he was not as amazing as I was expecting....... I guess I was a little dissapointed.
Drive by Truckers - I think maybe I just don't like Southern Rock too much because I couldn't wait for them to get off the stage. Everyone I was with felt the same way.
Wolfmother - was just amazing - as I expected. It's been a long time since I have seen a band put that much energy into a show. The place had emptied out by that time and we managed to be totally upfront of the stage which was great.
It was a good time, but such a different environment from Bonnaroo - all the college kids being more interested in getting drunk than being there for the music.

Replace "college kids" with "pseudo-hippies" and "drunk" with "high", and it's not that different.
Anyways, here's my rundown:
5/8 - "Weird Al" Yankovic @ Ram's Head Live in Baltimore 6/10 - Architecture in Helsinki @ 9:30 Club in DC
I wanted to catch LCD Soundsystem also at the 9:30 Club (tix were just $15), but it got sold out.

Agreed - the difference is the majority of the people last night had little interest in the music.
So, my roommate and I decided to celebrate last night after running a 5K yesterday afternoon. We decided to go down to a local bar called Northside Tavern (in Cinci). We were having our drinks, and all of a sudden, the drummer from the Heartless Bastards (a Cincinnati band that played Roo in '05) starts setting up his drums. We start asking around, and sure enough, we ended up seeing a "secret" show of the Bastards. They played maybe 10 songs, but it was great to see them at their home venue, where they got their start. Plus, they just rock. Great day altogether yesterday.

Here's my pre-roo schedule:
4/26 Air - The Joint in Las Vegas 4/27 Prince - The Rio In Las Vegas 5/24 Kings of Leon - Bogarts in Cincy 5/28 Damien Rice - LCP in Columbus 5/30 Les Claypool - Bogarts in Cincy
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
wow, the WP show was sick. Anybody that says "all of their songs sound the same" go see them now. I thought it was totally different from the show i saw last year.

I saw Keller Williams last night at the Sokol Auditorium. I can honestly say I was blown away! His looping was awesome! It sounded like a 6 piece band because he was looping everything. Really enjoyed myself.
Oh, and Sangreal, I am very very jealous of you for being able to see Nickel Creek. They are my favorite band and I want to see them one last time before they break up...but it's looking liek I'll have to travel really far if I want to because they aren't playing anywhere near Omaha. I'm hoping they get added to Bonnaroo but it's not likely. I'm sure the concert was amazing, but I'll ask anyway. How'd they sound? What songs did they play?

Are you big enough fans of them that you would be able to tell me the names of some of the songs they played?
