So they arn't a bonnaroo artist but... I just saw TV on the Radio last night... twas amazing... their live stuff doesn't sound anything like the albums (takes you a minute to realize what song they are playing sometimes) but its a good thing cause its so much more energetic

I'm going to get mine when my tax return gets here. Should only be a couple weeks. Man, I was driving around yesterday thinking about how fun it's going to be. Claypool>Bonnaroo...How cool is that?

Went to G.Love and Special Sauce last night at my college. He played a free show for University of Nebraska Omaha students in this ballroom on the top floor of our student center. ANd wow! It was totally worth the money I didn't have to pay. He played for over two hours, then came back out for an encore. It was amazing! I had never seen him live and hardly listen to his music, but he made me a believer. I got to chat with him for a bit too. Overall, very good (drunken) experience!
BTW - If he comes through your area, definitely check him out.
In Nashville I'm going to the Rites of Spring Friday night (4/20) at Vandy to see Keller Williams and Wolfmother. The Roots play Saturday night but the undercard is Naughty by Nature. I'm not a big Naughty by Nature fan, at least since 1991.
I'm seeing Modest Mouse in Birmingham, AL on 5/6. I'm still hoping they get added to Bonnaroo's lineup.

Was at The Decemberists show actually. Colin and Jenny (the keyboardist) were jamming before "16 Military Wives" and then one of them screwed up. Colin started laughing, ran up ot the mic, and said "Bonnaroo, here we come." It was pretty humorous, especially considering they played really solid, 9:00+ jams on their last two songs ("When the War Came" and "The Perfect Crime 2").
I'm actually attempting to limit my pre-Roo shows in preparation for a great festival. brokenlight, I'll be at The Hold Steady show at Southgate as well. The only other shows I'm going to for sure are four Kings of Leon shows (Indy, Louisville, Cleveland, and Cinci) and Page McConnell at Bogarts on 6/9.
Three maybes (but probably nots) right now: Antibalas at Southgate House 4/29, Keller at Bogarts 5/2, and The National at Headliners in Louisville 6/12
Umphrey's Mcgee- dallas 5/5 ryan montbleau- dallas 5/7 (possibly) Kings of Leon-Houston 5/12 Kings of Leon-Dallas 5/13
A few shows in Chicago with tickets so far for Animal Liberation Orchestra-Chicago 5/24
John Butler Trio- Dallas 6/12 Now I am upset with John's schedule because I would've gone to all three shows in Texas. But I have to be at Bonnaroo by the 14th and he has shows in Austin 6/13 and Houston 6/14(my hometown!). I am cutting it close by seeing his show in Dallas and leaving from there. Oh well, I guess I'll see him at Bonnaroo too....but I am upset he is coming to my city when I have to be at Bonnaroo! Anyone from Texas have the same problem?
