I saw Gnarls at lollapalooza last year and left their set early, cause it wasn't anything i expected out of cee-lo & danger mouse. however, because i left their set early i got a close spot for the flips! Oh, and if Gnarls were to be added to the roo, i'll definitely skip their set and find someone that can put on a show.
I seem to remember hearing or reading something recently about them working on new songs.
The last thing either one of those guys need to do is tie them down with Gnarls. I liked the album, but as a side project. Both guys have done better things imo. They should move on for awhile and treat it like Gibbard and Tamborello do with the Postal Service.
I could see their schtick getting stale if overdone.
agreed. especially since i seem to remember that the reason they wanted to continue was because right now they're still "hot", meaning, imo, "while we can still bank on this".
^^It's weird because Cee-Lo is a highly entertaining rapper. But he's definitely trying to strike a pose with his Gnarls Barkley persona. It's interesting especially given the hip/hop communities current lack of artists willing to try something different. That said, I'm sort of beginning to turn on my previous opinion against them performing at Bonnaroo. I think if they did, they would probably do something special.
That said, I don't see it happening. I think both guys are probably already moving onto other projects.
They are already working on a new album and have a few tracks complete.

just opened up the bonnaroo artists page and half the page was black and the other half white....anyone think they are messing with stuff in anticipation of a new addition?

i'm thinkin somethin is up, the page is a little wack right now, and that (in the past) has meant good things....

now the main page is different....where pictures of tool and the police were once....they have changed how it is listed......names no pictures.....and sections like Stage and Fountain.....cant scroll down tho...keep checking and keep your fingers crossed. I did get an email from bonnaroo myspace about some questions i had asked about additions and they said they couldnt say anything as an intern but to watch the site........

The slideshow at 'www.bonnaroo.com ' is not working, but the "Feature Videos" are. Yet at 'www.bonnaroo.com/2007' the slideshow is working (with additional pictures), yet the videos are not up. Hopefully something happens soon!

Well, the fact that they added new slides (the stage, fountain, and ariel shots), and the fact that "featured videos" was gone, gives some hope that they are updating the site, not that is was simply malfunctional.
But I do think tomorrow or Thursday is more likely, those are usually announcement days. I feel like they would want one more boost before the payment plan expries.
my addition pics would be: modest mouse (im gonna say this until they announce) , the mars volta late night show. ben gibbards tourin' by himself right now so that would be coo, fiona apple would be freakin' sik, diggin' on the killers possibility, and also the ultimate addition this already flawless lineup IMO would be roger waters...headlining thursday night.

The payment plan doesn't really do them any good now that second tier tix have sold out. That's sort of why I suspect we won't get an additional round until next week. Hope I'm wrong though.

Well, the question is "When should we get another lineup addition?" . . . and we should get one now. He's not trying to mess around, just being semantical.
