What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

While I don't disagree with them, they really need to stop patting themselves on the back about their musical "diversity". It's getting a bit annoying.

We beat them to everything. I'll be the first to say it. I am incredibly frustrated with Roo this year... -Waited extra long for lineup -Wack-ass artist additions(Not that the Roots are wack-ass, but we already knew) -No news on TOOL(At least acknowledge it and set our minds at ease!) Why does it feel like this year is all about the $$$$?

This really doesn't amount to an addition at all. We all knew of The Roots when the initial line-up leaked. And its not as if they didn't know about this fact; I wouldn't be suprised if they turned The Roots into an addition just to piss us off. The Mardi Gras Indians are a cool add, but do they + an already known band = an announcement? Hardly.
In the past, if they only added one or two artists in a round, it was something crazy, like Oysterhead.
My only hope is that they are still making edits . . .
I have a feeling they do have a couple bigger names than The Roots. It looks like the promoters are going to save those names for later and banking on The Police to sell alot of tickets.

Agreed . . . I think The Police have added a touch of Capitalism to the vibe.
The point that really bothers me, as you said, is the long wait for the line-up. The initial announcement should have come at the end of January (and hey, Superfly, if you would have done it on time I wouldn't have had to leak it, would I?). The fact that we waited an extra 2 weeks just for our initial announcement should warrant some quick additions. I mean, if the line-up would have come out on time, we would all be dying for additions, and very confused if we hadn't gotten something substantial by now.
Ummm, how can you fault them for not announcing a lineup to their own event on time? They never SAID it would be earlier???????? Also remember, for most people this is an addition.....we are the obsessed!!!!

While I don't think they said anything offically, I know there is an article or two where someone from Superfly said the line-up was coming at the end of January, that info is floating around on this messageboard somewhere . . . .
This is from Jonathon Mayers, the President of Superfly
Bonnaroo VI is set for June 14-17. A limited allotment of "a few thousand tickets" went on sale at the end of 2006 and sold out quickly, before any acts were announced. Mayers expects the 2007 lineup to start being announced by the end of the month.
"It's a diverse lineup, strong throughout," says Mayers. "We're really excited about some of the new artists that haven't played the festival, and I think there are going to be some surprises that no one else has. Each year we try to raise it a notch, present different artists and expand what Bonnaroo means."
Furthermore, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the line-up usually come out at the end of January?
I think it was obvious that the initial announcement was pushed back so as to not steal any thunder from The Police's announcement . . . but if that's the case, they should have announced everything BUT the Police, and then made them an addition . . . that would have appeased us.
We might be a little obsessed about this thing, but even for the casual fan who could read, it's not an addition. The roots were listed on that poster on the site and the indians were listed in the 2007 artists section.

Lame Lame Lame.
^ Another point I was going to make, karma for you!

True, we do tend to forget we are spolied with all our info here. That being said..weak addition Superfly. These can't be a real addition because if anyone checked the website at all they would have seen either of these two groups up somewhere. You have March to impress me...even though I'll be coming anyway.

mega super lame addition. i like the bands but as its been said, if you can read you knew they were comin. my only consolation is getting to buy tix today
superfly sux ass. the music dosent start until noon on friday so make your travel/work plans based on that!! and heres an artist announcement youve known about since before the inital lineup was out. what a joke. an expensive joke. how many more years can roo continue like this? it seems like superfly is banking on mainstreamers to come to a 250 dollar fest year after year. i dont see it happening. i give it 2 more roos that continue down the same road theyve been going for years and it will be over. the original dedicated fanbase will be gone and they might have to sell out to mtv just to save their asses. if mtv would even want it at that time. so sad. oh well someone will pick up the slack. honestly if it wasnt for it being in kansas and the whole cop thing last year waka would be putting roo out of business this year! or atleast pulling the entire original roo crowd away. then superfly could sell 50,000 vip tickets.

^haha i agree that superfly is being really lame this year so far (mayeb i'm just mad at this weak ass addition, cuz then again superfly did bestow tool and the police to us) but i think your over reacting a tad. that being said i'm gonna give you karma for speaking your mind
yeah, that addition is lame. but still, its only february! we've got almost 4 more months. surely we'll get the additions we're looking for. dont worry!

they should have just left 3 or 4 more artists off the list and then presented them with these 2. Roots were listed the day this lineup came out on other sites. Kind of a joke but hey no big deal, same bands are going to play regardless of when they are announced.
