haha its really really hard to explain, he never sings its always just spoken word, he has special guests that sing background (like ben folds, amie mann, henry rollins, ect.) and all the msuic on the new cd is written by ben folds, shatner writes the lyrics, its really interesting, you should check it out

haha lots of things, how he hates beign called a has been, reconcilling with his daughter, what pisses him off, how everyone eventually dies. its really entertaining, deffiantly worth a listen
I don't know if I agree with Metallica, espescially since they are working with Rick Rubin now. But the others are good. How about adding some Kenny Chesney or Rascals flatts. I think they would be the two to send me over the edge. Late night show with Toby Keith and special guest Black eyed peas. My Hump My Hump
Seriously, metallica would shread at bonnaroo, id take that. All the others i would not take though. I hate rascal flatts.
All those bands I listed were ones who would make up my worst Bonnaroo ever. Ha Metallica was the only one I was defending Zig
I don't know how no one has thought of this yet but just imagine.....The American Idol tour makes a quick stop in Manchester to headline Saturday night at BONNAROO!!!!

Naw, the Shat is the only person I can think of that has put out a fantastic novelty record AND a fantastic pop/rock record. He's not much of a singer or musician, but he's a great showman and interpreter, both of which are highlighted on "Has Been". Plus he knows how to lampoon himself, which is all too rare with actors these days.
I still think he should be the grand marshal of the Mardis Gras parade.

wait a minute... "the shat" is a whole different ball game and entirely different entity than william shatner. however, shat would actually be pretty entertaining at bonnaroo.
what saddens me is how many of these bands my girlfriend likes... I have been working very hard to enlighten her, she went to Bonnaroo last year, it is a continuing education...

Besides Jethro Tull those all sound like horrible acts to see, although I will support that Jethro Tull now would be a horrible act to see. I love Jethro Tull but I saw them a few years back and Ian Anderson has lost his voice for sure, its pretty bad. But you cant deny the man of the Wood his place in the sun...

Headliners : Jethro Tull, Kenny G and Blind Melon Late night acts: - A four hour set that'll start out with Backstreet boys, then go to N' sync, then 98 degrees, and the last hour would be a reunion tour of none other than Color me badd!! - Jamiroquai - Yanni (you betcha!) Hip hop acts - Vanilla Ice, Master P, Insane Clown Posse and Kottonmouth kings
Other acts would include - Crash Test Dummies, Goo Goo Dolls, Smash Mouth, Kansas, Starship, Lee Greenwood, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Rhichard Marx and Duran Duran
That would be the ultimate Bonnaroo!
LOL in the spirit of being true to my musical taste, however unpopular, I have to disagree with this thread on the following artists (not necessarily because i think they'd be good for roo, just in general):
ICP, Jethro Tull, Blind Melon, Kottonmouth Kings, Goo Goo Dolls, Kansas, and Toby Keith
I've noticed alot of people on the board have been stricken with the same affliction as I. No matter what the lineup, Roo can't be missed. So I was wondering, What kind of lineup would it take for you all never to go back. For fun, lets hear the opposite of your dream lineup.
Mine:
Metallica, Ace of Base, and Blink 182 would headline
K-Fed could represent the rap scene...
Alan Jackson (late night), maybe some Nick Carter...
Finally the superjam would consist of Lars from Metallica, John Tesh on keys, and and endless chain of American Idol runner-ups...
If this went down i would prolly kill myself.
(P.S. if you like any of these bands I didn't mean to offend...and maybe you should go on some meds.)
Only one I cant agree with there is Metallica. I would have to say that it would take some bands liek My Chemical ROmance to get me not to go so yeah, it would have to be intensely horrible for you not to see me there.

This is an interesting thread. Hopefully I won't be crucified for this but I Love RHCP & Coldplay and I kinda like Metallica and Panic at the Disco. They are nowhere near my favs but I had to mention that.
Worst Bonnaroo Ever:
Headliners: Nickelback (do we all agree that is the worst band in existence?); AKON, Gwen Stefani (this hurts me because No Doubt was once respectable) and Fall Out Boy
Others: Shinedown, Cradle of Filth, Smile Empty Soul, Daughtry, Taking Back Sunday, Seether, Lil'Jon, Young Jeezy, Thursday, Decemberists....
I'm getting angry thinking about all this bad music...I am going to quit typing now

Hilarious the way you slipped in The Decemberists right at the end. You might want to protect your genitals after that one.
