I would love MMJ latenight, but I agree with many others who think MMJ is more likely as a pre-headliner. So if there's no MMJ latenight, my vote goes for Flaming Lips -> Arcade Fire....but Of Montreal would be fun too....
I like the open space. I'm all for a Late Night Which Stage as long as the group requires it and brings something extra, but otherwise, leave the space open...

Bands I would love to see late night on the Which stage:
The Mars Volta (Please god let this happen!!!) MMJ (repeat, but really would anyone complain?) Modest Mouse (with Johnny Marr, they are big enough now) Sigur Ros (would be simply amazing. They would be the surprise talk of the weekend, like Jacket last year) Wilco The Flaming Lips Beck
Other than those, I would like some smaller late nights as follows:
Gov't Mule (seriously with all the guest possibilites, just wow.) New Pornographers Arcade Fire Deltron 3030 Wolf Parade (new album this year!!!) Wolfmother moe.

Sup man....
Not too much. Western NY is a mess (snow storm from hell), so I was sent home early from work tonight. What better way to pass the time, than to speculate/obsess about Bonnaroo?

Incubus! Primus rocked the most hardcore, i'd love to see that again. I saw Counting Crows at Music Midtown and think they could do a pretty good job. Tool would be amazing.
Man, The Mars Volta late night on Which stage would be something not to be missed.
My Morning Jacket...I just don't think I'd want to see them (but I would anyway) during the day. Maybe they'll bring back the late night stage set just for that, because it's completely a night-time thing. Tool would have to be on the main stage though, because that sh*t needs to be loud. Very loud.
Modest Mouse would be a dream come true, but I know plenty of people wouldn't really agree with that.

Modest Mouse would be pretty cool with the addition of Johnny Marr. He is a great guitarist that I think a lot of the younger bands could learn from. He does it a little different and was around at the beginning of the whole alt. music thing. In the band the Smiths for some of the younger fans out there

String Cheese Daft Punk
HOLY nuts!
you there, reading this - right now - leave this forum and go find Daft Punk's Coachella 06 set. It's godlike.
Yes I saw their show here in Miami for the Bang Festival in October 06 and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. It ranks up there with Radiohead at Red Rocks. Unreal. And the crowd was completely insane.
After the awesome response to Sasha last year I think Daft Punk would go down as one of the all time great shows at Bonnaroo.

i'm tellign you they need to do tom waits into primus into the volta
I'm down with that kind of late night party too! But I wouldn't be upset if Greecian's prediction of Sigur Ros and Wolf Parade.
I saw Wolf Parade open for Modest Mouse before they had even released an EP, and the blew the place away. I can only imagine how tight their set must be!!!!

any of these bands would be good from midnight-4 am:
1.keller williams>string cheese incident, let sci rule the late night of bonnaroo, 2.gov't mule, i'd like to see something like the deep end cd 3.tool 4.black crowes 5.tom waits 6.mmj 7.msmw 8.umphrey's mcgee 9.perpetual groove 10.sts9 11.explosions in the sky 12.dark star orchestra, if there is no other dead show there, they should be 13.any rap or hip-hop stuff, cause those are things i won't go see 14.galactic, i would see them even though there next cd is more rap influenced 15.any other funk or new orleans type stuff would be good 16.i'm sure theres a lot more possibilities i forgot
I can't lie and say I really listen to much electronic music, but it would take something HUGE to get me from seeing Daft Punk. From everything I've heard they are as good as it gets live. This year at Roo I'll probably check out a very-early morning electronic act, I get the feeling those are great shows.
The Mars Volta late-night would be great, I've never really gotten a dark vibe from them, more of an exploritory/intense vibe. It's also more of a personal thing, I could understand how giving a band like that three hours in the middle of the night could lead to some really dark moments. Have they really gotten much bigger since their last Roo performance? If not I wouldn't think they would move up to the Which Stage.
For me I think they'll go back to someone like Trey or Primus if they're there. Trey pleases a lot of people, too many for a tent, but not enough to headline anymore. The best spot is one where there's plenty of room for his fans, but there's also other draws for the people who aren't into him solo.
