Were you at the St Louis show? I am pretty sure they started the Gloaming and the machine glitched on them so they had to restart it. Damn that show was the nuts!
Yep, my wife's mom lives right outside St. Louis. We drove up from Dallas because they hadn't announced the Houston stop on the tour and we had to see that tour. Anyhow, we made our way to Houston as well. Yes, it was the St. Louis show where the drum machine glitched.

pitchfork has been going downhill a lot lately.
IMO this is more then the album deserves. I forced one full listen and that all its ever going to get. Even once was hard. Album reviews are only one person opinion...

Bought it. Listened to it. The back end is tremendous, the front end drones a bit. On Pitchfork's scale, I give it a solid 8.0
"Atoms for Peace" is really well done, the title track is catchier the second time around, and "Black Swan" is also growing on me. I think it's a good to very good album, but by no means a masterpiece.

I guess I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. 1, 2, and 4 are my favorites. Harrowdown Hill is one song that I didn't think much of at the beginning and is now growing on me.
What are your thoughts on the leak vs. actual cd for sound quality?

I'm digging on the first half of the CD as well. 2, 3, 4 are actually my favorites. Still, that doesn't take away from 6 and 9, which are fantastic IMHO.
If I broke the album down by tracks it would stand like this:
8.0-10.0- 1, 4, 6-9 6.0-8.0- 3, 5 2.0-4.0- 2
Really, "Analyse" is the only track on the album that I don't like. It just sounds like b-side crap left over from Amnesiac. "Harrowdown Hill" and "Cymbal Rush" impress me more upon each listen. "Black Swan" and "The Eraser" pretty much got me from the start. And I don't think Thom's voice has sounded as good as it does on "Atoms for Peace."
Interesting. The song I like least I think would have to be Skip Divided. Then again, I loved Amnesiac. And I must agree - his voice is brilliantly strong.
By the way, did anyone catch The Henry Rollins show the other night? Cymbal Rush was flawless, and I honestly can't remember a time that I ever saw Thom play guitar like he did on the acoustic version of The Clock, it was nuts.
I have seen these before. I ahve actually heard stories that later in the scam they ask you to pay a couple thousand in fees (good deal cause your going to make millions!!) and then offer to fly you to Nigeria. If I am not mistaken there was an american business man killed over one of these things a few years back?
