Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I bring rain boots every year but never wear them! I will probably leave them at home this year. I'd rather just wash the mud off of my feet and crocs.
As for bra support, I too wear swimsuit tops under my dress. But only during the day. At night, I switch to a sports bra (or regular bra) to give my neck a rest. Plus sports bras are easier to dance around in, if you know what I mean I found it's a good idea to stretch your neck for a few minutes every morning and before you go to sleep. It's actually a good idea to stretch your whole body at Roo!
I'm actually pretty darn anti-hovering. You aren't going to catch anything from a dry seat (and very unlikely even from a wet one) and if everyone sits and/or cleans up after her or himself (hey guys reading this - clean up your dribbles!), no one will have to deal with someone else's pee.
What I do is bring a separate baggie full of antibacterial wipes. I'll pull one out along with a portion of toilet paper while I'm standing in line so I'm not fumbling around while inside the hot plastic box. Then I can quickly wipe things down with the antibacterial wipe and actually sit. I also double check to make sure the seat is dry before I exit.
Seriously - you want to be behind me in line. I'm also pretty good at predicting which porto will be the least disgusting.
regarding the pstyle, the gf and I were looking at it, aind it seems that it is just a trough that you dump into the toilet when you're done.
This one, the one that I'd heard of a few years ago (the pstyle is a new one to me), actually is like a funnel. Dunno if it'd make it easier or more difficult. I guess you could angle towards the urinal as opposed to the toilet to possibly make it easier.
Someone with a pstyle correct me if I'm wrong, but the difference between a pstyle and funnel shaped devices is that the pstyle allows free flow instead of forcing fluid through a tiny whole. Both perform the same function in a similar way, but the pstyle is easier to use because you aren't at risk of overflowing if you don't control the speed and volume of the fluid. Though some may prefer the shape of any other device for any number of reasons, the p-style's shape is considered easier to place in your pants if you are in a situation where modesty is an issue... Like maybe if you were stuck in a ridiculous traffic jam and really had to go. Haha! They also make disposable devices for those who are grossed out by the idea of using something and putting it in your purse.
When I asked her what it was she explained that it was a "new agey Ben Gay", primary ingredient menthol. Not sticky or smelly. Well for the next 3-4 hours the area she treated was COLD. It was 88 degrees here and my neck and shoulders were COLD! Has anyone tried anything like this at Roo for heat/sweat? Is there a downside to this I'm not thinking of?
I have some Biofreeze that my chiropractor gave me a couple of months ago. I love it! I would just be sure to read up on it and make sure it's ok to wear in direct sunlight so that you don't end up with a horrible sunburn.

Thanks for the feedback. As much as I'd like to bathe in the stuff I know I need at least some parts of my body to feel the heat so I don't overdo it but holy smokes!
What's the name of that bra? The link just sends me to the front page for some reason. I need some new bras, and I'm not thrilled with spending 70-80 bucks for support like I have in the past.

Yes, that's correct. It just directs the flow away from your body.
I tried one of the funnel-types my first Bonnaroo. It really didn't work. So not good. I was happy I could go back to camp and change my clothes. Though it was not a go-girl. Haven't used one of those.
Haha I got almost the same bras this weekend! I got the convertible satin plunge and the LB strapless and I LOVE THEM. I've never met a strapless bra that could stand up to me and I actually wore mine to bed last night, its so comfy. The satin plunge is gonna be great for halter tops too. Only thing I found is that the cups ran rather big on the strapless, so I sized down and was fine.
Oh I like some of those!! How is the quality?? I worry about the no return policy.
I have ordered well over a dozen dresses from here. With these, you actually get a little more than what you pay for. Good for a season or two depending how often you wear it & how you care for it( laundering). My daughter is always very pleased!!
The $15 dress site looks pretty cool.. I'm 5'10 and all legs, so dresses that are short are really short on me. Is there a good return policy if they don't work out?
Has anyone here made an infinity dress before? I don't really sew but am thinking about getting a machine and giving it a whirl. Just wondering how hard they are to make.

My daughter is 5'8'', and tends to stay w/ longer ones. There are NO returns, all sales final. I always whip out the tape measure before ordering. Their size charts are pretty accurate.

Ah, I see. At first I thought the pstyle just caught everything, so I thought there was a thread of overflowing. Looking more closely, I see it has a lip or whatnot to basically just pour the urine out. Makes more sense. I just wasn't sure if anyone was aware of the go girl, and if it was any better than the pstyle. I will now leave the ladies' thread.

Good to know. The selection and price seems pretty similar to a Ross, but it would be nice to be able to order online if you see a steal.
for those of you who live in nashville. the green wagon across from red door east actually has diva cups etc that you can see before you buy. fyi
Ugh, I'm jealous. I don't know of anywhere around me that sells any brand of cup! Think I'm gonna buy one online soon. Although I suppose I could try to get to that place on the way to/from Roo...but idk, I'll probably just buy one online. Haven't totally decided on what brand I want yet anyway - thinking either the MeLuna or the Lunette.

Thanks so much! Friday for you. I'll probably order a couple.
Catching up.. BioFreeze... Been living with it for several years. Long story short my neck is primarily titanium, plates, and screws. I prefer.. 'Bionic'. : ) BFreeze is fantastic for knotted shoulders/neck, achy muscles, and a does a some good for joint pain. Mostly for the muscles. Have the roll-ons all over the house and in my purse. And yes its very cooling. Looking back can not speak to sunburn issues. Its a good concern.. will it cooperate with sunscreen. Roo is the only place i dont recall needing it until days end (way after dark). It does have a light green tint so if you apply and have on a white tank for example - it may pick up the color but always washes out. You can get it online cheapest if you buy 6 or more at a time.

Clairity--it's called the Cacique Intimates cotton molded no wire bra. It's $32 and right now they are having a 40% off sale! I think I may go ahead and get another one!
Hi all, long time no Inforoo! Thanks all who came by my blog from the link DCbee posted earlier. A couple randoms:
- The Pstyle is the BOMB. Easy flow, easy clean, no mess. - The DivaCup is also pretty fantastic, have been using almost two years and no complaints. Would be perfection for Bonnaroo because you only have to change out every 12 hours. - I am DD and last year wore a couple 100% cotton (no stretch) sundresses sans bra. They had lined, seamed cups & adjustable straps and kept everything in place. Maybe the girls weren't as high as usual, but I looked good and was so comfortable and secure. Got the dresses at Ross. Even found one with light padding. This year I already found another at Ross for only $14.99 in a cool green batik print. Previous years I have worn Victoria's Secret knit bras with the slight padding - they almost look like bathing suit tops, the knit soaks up the sweat and doesn't chafe like a normal bra. Again, not supportive like my Wacoals but they get the job done and I don't mind stripping down to it at the water trough to get clean each morning. - I wear boots every Bonnaroo and find them comfy; I hit them with waterproofing spray before heading to the Farm. Wellies could be hot but are a great thing to bring just in case of crazy mud and rain.
Bought me some crocs online today. The Mary Jane style looked a little hot and bulky for my feet, so I bought a pair of "lady" flats. I'm hoping that they are as comfy as the reviews say because they look like they will be cute with my Roo dresses. I got them in gold because online they look more like a nude color and should go with everything.
I'm getting excited! My next purchase needs to be a fedora, but I can't find one big enough for my head. I crushed mine from last year. Any suggestions on fedora shopping for someone with a giant melon? Hehe
The same company has other colors/patterns of the same dress if you check their listings. I got four and this is DEFINITELY my new summer uniform. I was very skeptical about the one size fits all thing, but its actually true... I'm a 42-44C and size 14/16 and they fit great, but the top snaps back really small so I think it'd fit a petite person too, its sort of amazing. They are also plenty long (right below the knee on me and I'm 5'10") which is nice (for me... shorter ladies may need to hem). The top is very supportive, I don't wear the neck strap. Only potential downside, the material is a bit of a rougher cotton cloth, but not unlike other India print dresses/kaftans I've had....and they soften up considerably after a wash. It didn't bother me at all but its definitely not a super soft cotton. Enjoy!
