Clarity! You are so right about Etsy being addicting. I have to watch it when I get on there. Lately I have been looking for cool owl themed nusery stuff for when my baby comes. Its like they have everything you could ever dream of owning onthat site....and if it isn't there someone will make it. also, I am so wanting some toms to carry me through the lst 3 months of pregnancy. I had a hissy fit this morning b/c none of my shoes are comfy enough so my husband gave me some shoe money to quiet me up. Only one or two stores here sell them though and they never have my size I'm scared to get them online without trying them on.
Justme- I agree I have had nothing but positive experiences buying there.
Hey Ladies! Just saying hi And that Old Navy has their new dresses out for spring(ish). They seem to have a $15 jersey-type dress every year, and this one is pretty cute - oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=50186&vid=1&pid=696777&scid=696777032 I got it in pink and white stripe at the store. Mega-cute with white tights and grey boots.
Also, I am totally making up some GFT buttons this year. I found an awesome vendor (on Etsy, DUH ) who makes adorable buttons. Im definitely thinking 1'' size, and maybe 2 different designs? If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. Im leaning towards "GFT" or "GFT 2010" somewhere on the button, and like, a gray background with a glittery pink star, or something similar. Pretty basic. But AWESOME. And no worries, im pretty crafty/creative, so they wont be dumb. Again - any suggestions???? Let me know! Im a DOING this! Then I can send them out to you guys before Roo, or hand them out at the brunch.
SO excited for Roo this year. Thankfully i have a ski trip, a beach trip, and a mini-cruise between now and then to keep me occupied!

I'm all about some GFT buttons. I think they should just say "GFT" for longevity; that way, we can wear them in 2010 and to infinity! Maybe just a 1", 2" seems kinda big to me. They should definitely sparkle in some way, I agree with that Thanks for doing the buttons!!!
Woooo! So noted Julie, only GFT, and definite sparkles. I'll likely order in late feb, early march.
My travels will def be fun, but don't be fooled, other than skiing, the other trips are 3-day weekend type things but still, other things to buy clothes for and keep me from that "pre-roo stircrazy" time.

So, I can't go to Bonnaroo this year but I still look at fun clothes for summer, and wanted to let you girls know that soul-flower has some cute new stuff on their site.
I am obsessed with scarves and head wraps. My hair is just a bit too short to pull back well, so I wear something wrapped around my head pretty much all summer long. I got one of these headbands on etsy last year, and it quickly became my absolute favorite. I haven't found anything else that even compares. I just bought one in another color. The best part is, even with international shipping, they are still only $11. Waaaayyyy underpriced for how fantastic they are. www.etsy.com/shop/colourbazaar?section_id=6024511
Mast General Store is having some insane sales, and I just picked up a really soft and comfy Columbia, zip-up, hoodie sweater for $26! It was originally $80 and it will be perfect for running around at night. AND I found camping martini and margarita glasses! The stem unscrews and fits inside, so you can just throw them in your bag. Yep, I WILL be walking to the showers with a martini in the mornings and my martini shaker in my shower caddy! ;D

Nice! The ones I already have get stretched out and don't hold my hair back well. These look great.
My only problem with them is that when you go to the bathroom, you end up being naked. With a dress or skirt, you can hike it up and stay covered in case someone accidentally opens the door on you.

They are super cute, but a question: are they made of stretchy material? How well do they actually stay on your head? I don't see a way to tie them or anything.
I tend to have that problem with headband/scarves/etc, keeping them on my head... bobby pins don't help hold them in place. I need something that's secured in some way, preferably something more than elastic. I wear bandanas a lot in warmer weather because I can tie those to keep them in place.
They are pretty stretchy. It's a knit material. It's a big loop, and you loop it around twice. I have a major problem with headbands slipping off the back of my head. These are the only ones I have that don't do that. I don't have to pin them in or anything. That's why I am so in love with them.
I got one from Victoria's Secret last year, and I ended up wearing it a lot over the summer, BUT...I also wore it on the way up to roo, and had 2 problems:
1-Setting up camp in a tube top was a bad idea. This might be because I don't have much to hold it up...
2-Port-o-Potties...not so much the getting practically naked part, but the fact that I don't want any part of my clothes or body touching any part inside the P-o-P, so it's awkward to have to hold the thing up, and also balance in a perfect squat so you don't have to sit on the seat. (especially difficult once you're a little drunky )
Other than the 'roo issues though, it's a really cute little summer outfit.

Rompers also rrrreally depend on your body type. I have a long torso and a decent amount of chest so they just give me mad wedgies; depressing since many of them are adorable.
Can we get buttons even if we can't make Roo? Maybe represent at Waka?
Clarity - DUH! ALLLLLL the GFT ladies get buttons! even if you arent' making Roo this year! I actually have "order buttons for Roo" on my calendar here at work. So it will happen for sure! I'll just have to mail yours to ya
So I'm ready for the line up. It's Feb 1, so we'll know pretty sooooooon! Yay!

OMG WANT.
Do you know if they are made of all-natural fibers? If they are, they would be PERFECT for me to cover my hair for fire hooping.

I know.Awesome, right?! I think they are cotton, but I'm not totally sure. I just got a fire hoop, too, and these would be great for that. I'm going to send her a message and find out.

Let me know what you find out. As of right now I've been using tacky bandannas and a rather unfortunate-looking toboggan. These are much cuter!

If you don't know about ebates, you MUST sign up. It's the best thing on earth. Checks in the mail every quarter + you can still use whatever coupons are out there. And they add more stores all the time. You now have to pretty much drag me to a mall. Online shopping is so much cheaper, the selection is better and no crowds!
