I hope it’s right too, I watched some of their YouTube videos after it was posted here and they were a lot of fun. Seems like the kind of live electronic act this festival gravitates toward too.
I'm with you, I just DM'd them hoping for something (s/o to mikey for recommending that as an ez way to get confirmations).
They could be lying for fun. There was very little Do Lab overlap in 2022 and 2023 (not a huge surprise since they are booked separately), but I do feel like they are the kind of act Portola would attract. Funny how one of my top wishlist act would be a probably bottom line haha.
Oh they're def bottom line if not the very last name but they are so good. Talk Tonight has been on repeat all year.

Hell yeah. I saw Deltron 3030 at Hardly Strictly in 2014 and it was fantastic. That show was with their small orchestra as well, and it looks like their Stern Grove show also had the strings/horns/choir -- is it safe to assume the 3030 Orchestra will be there too?
Deltron is a great get. That's the kind of act we love.

I do think some of these were just alumni he wanted to shout out.
I would say that from this list, the ones I I think are highly likely are Cimafunk, Cloonee, Justice, Rufus, Sabrina Carpenter, and Young Miko. Anti Up and EA are both projects from Portola alumni . NEIL and Skin on Skin are both alumni as well.
Also just realized Sabrina Carpenter is the obvious Charli XCX/Rina Sawayama rising pop star this year.
I just don’t see Beth playing a festival who’s had bad sound issues and known for more upbeat electronic music. Form, DD, Pitchfork just make more sense.

We had overlap last year at least.
Underworld, The Blaze, Basement Jaxx, Barry, Salute, Todd Terje DJ, and Charlotte de Witte at a quick glance. Probably makes Gesaffelstein more likely.
Thought she was on the 2022 lineup for some reason. She was at Coachella in 2023. Anyway, good pickup but personally not overly hyped for her, but I will have to listen to her music more. I like her leavemealone remix.
Also just glancing at the 2023 Coachella lineup, I think Elderbrook has a good chance to play (in Vegas just before Portola).
