Soulwax said they were playing the states in 2024 so assuming this and CRSSD are likely. Would love if they could pull Robyn out for a new show. She was working on new music with Charli last year so ideally the album is getting close.
Undercard: Michael Bibi, Miss Monique, ANOTR, BLOND:ISH, Brutalismus 3000, Skream (+Benga if cleared?), Folamour, Eli & Fur (plz), Brittany Howard, Neil Frances, Marina, 100 Gecs DJ Seinfeld, Jersey (PLEASE), Clown Core
Can't tell if "Special Guest" is something they want to keep, but I could totally see a Featuring: Despacio on the lineup if Soulwax or LCD is there.
Some notes:
Justice is basically a lock just off of vibes and expectations for the fest.
My #3 pick for headliner would easily be Gesaffelstein but I would be surprised if they booked two french electro artists as headliners. I could also see Gesaffelstein headlining next year if offered the spot. But then again, they did just play the day after Justice at the same time and stage. Personally I am not huge on having both Portola headliners be two of Coachella's outdoor closers, and I feel Justice is much higher demand than Ges.
None of the Alt Headliners have the prestige imo (besides Aphex) to headline over Justice and have a bit too much genre overlap. But Rüfüs is in their own vein enough to stand out while still attracting the Portola crowd + newcomers. LCD would be a good alternative to Rüfüs.
Khruangbin is on tour and they have that weekend open with 3 days in between performances before and after. It would be wack going DC -> SF -> Missouri though. I want them to have a special sunset set.
Mau P would be the tech house representative that wouldn't attract the total frat crowd like John Summit would (still would not be surprised to see him on the lineup).
Orbital is playing a show in the UK on the 27th. This should realistically rule them out but I can see them flying back and closing the Crane tent on Sunday.
BLOND:ISH may as well be confirmed with how she gets on so many lineups. See her playing second or third on Crane either day.
I think Skream will more than likely be on, hopefully Benga gets sorted out and can also appear, otherwise I guess Coachella 2025 is what we are waiting for.
The others I have added were ones that I heard great things about at Coachella and could see them being on the lineup no issue. Plus some that I think fit somewhat the vibe Portola wants.
Goldenvoice, WutangDan, anyone, please book Jersey. Would be an awesome early warehouse set.
TME did a mock that had Justice and Gesaffelstein as co headliners on the same day, which doesn’t seem unreasonable imo. Do agree that Rufus has a pretty good shot of being the other headliner though.

They would have to co-headline Sunday because if they play Saturday nobody would be alive to come back the next day
I have seen like 6 different comments on different boards of people saying this lol what is the basis
what other boards?
I saw it on another thread here, the same comment just "rufus is confirmed". Don't remember where, could be misremembering. Others were all on reddit, either the coachella sub or the portola sub.

I don't know if it can fit his rig, but Justice pier --> Gesaffelstein crane, with like 5-10 minutes in between, would be among the most ridiculous things to happen at a festival, ever. I remember the light was still out for Polo & Pan/Labrinth last year so if it's a joint headliner thing, they both can't be in darkness on the pier stage.
Also I feel like Rufus is absolutely the more compatible fit with the festival's vibe and target audience, but after Coachella doubled down on Dommy & Summy for Coachella do you think the second headliner could be Everything Always? (Because I too have just assumed Justice is a headliner, there's no way they aren't). That's the only other "obvious" one that is floating out there with a Coachella connection (all four headliners thus far have either played before or after Coachella), I would say too young of a demo but they did book Dom last year.

I had a lot of fun at Everything Always but it isn't something I think I need to see again right away. Lots of people say they don't belong, but I don't totally agree. I would rather just see them next year, rather than just a few months after Coachella.
Also agree about Rufus. Don't really get those saying they don't.

This would be fucking sick. The Portola herd may be sorta crazy in that situation lol
Unironically love this mock. Somehow doubt it will be this good though.
I'd love this. Not sure Robyn would be a sub, though she's kind of tricky...last time she toured, her first CA leg fit with being a sub but her second leg included The Forum in LA and Bill Graham was mobbed, and she headlined Pitchfork/was top-8 at ACL.
Just noticed the Kaskade redux also - Rufus/Justice/Gesa/Robyn/Kaskade is definitely too much at the top here.

I was high last night and saw this on Reddit and freaked the fuck out before I realized it was a mock.
Literally amazing lineup even down to the tiniest names (please Jersey, please!), too good to be true but damn if it was, this would be one for the ages.
