look bonnaroo is just around the corner so i had to rush it. i'm doing the best i can. it's a lot of pressure planning all these social events.
Are we gonna get a 40lb bag of lucky charms marshmallows at brunch?
sure. but i read some reviews and apparently after you open it they pretty quickly turn into one giant brick of cereal marshmallows. so we may have to pass it around and take big ole' chomps off of it.
fred again shows sold out in under 30 mins… i know it’s a smaller venue but still impressive w no real notice. he’s gonna be a headliner that ages very well
someone posted a screenshot saying that they printed off 60k of those little journals, so 60k 4 day peeps plus all of the 1-2 day peeps, i think we’ll be around 65-70k. tfo liked a few tweets close to that number too

that is a lot of peeps, but the wrong marshmallow. we're talking lucky charms here.

sounds dope to me. not depressingly low numbers like 2016 but also not a sellout is ideal.
Upcoming Shows: 11/8 - Goose @ The Andrew J. Brady Center 11/13 - Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros w/ The Wolfpack & The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall 2/14 - Alan Walker @ The Fillmore Detroit 4/15 - Ben Folds w/ The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall

i'm watching the edc set now and i know i'm in the minority around here, but it's good. still as hype for this show as i was from the get, and perfectly happy with him being a Sun night closer.

also watching the EDC set, and agree its great but this is a DJ set right?
It is not Boiler Room. It is not PHM at Madison Square Garden or Coachella. It is not a pop-up afterparty. IT IS NOT A DJ SET.
Yes there will be finger drumming and some absolute bangers dropped. But there will also be live keyboard and singing. There will be slow, non dance-friendly melodies at times. There will be Fred talking to the audience about their support and how much the experience means to him, explaining the origin of some songs and why they are meaningful

Fred again live is not meant to be a show for someone who wants a nonstop hype dance party. It is for the fans who know his songs word for word. Who know where all his samples come from and the story behind them. Who understand his own backstory and why some of these songs are so emotionally charged. Who have heard these same songs at really hard times in their own lives and felt the strength to push through. Who will 100% cry out of joy when they hear them live.
Later in that post
Really not trying to gatekeep here or anything, I’ve gone to many a show where I didn’t know what to expect, but there’s a difference between being along for the ride and feeling entitled to a performance you didn’t get.

Bonnaroo booked J.Snore & Lizzo to headline recently. That is infinitely more offensive than booking Fred Again to headline, tbh

tbh i am genuinely excited for fred again because i think i'll either love it or hate it. i'd rather see a set i have a strong feeling about then one i'm middling about.

When I saw him I went in a bit of a skeptic, then early in the show he was banging away at this little drum pad and I was like “this guys cooking, why did I doubt him?” Then the literally next song was the corniest shit I ever heard and I went and got a beer.
So what I’m saying is have you considered that might both love him and hate him?
