Listened to GUTS last night and I don’t think I would be mad at an ORod headlining set. Pop punk is the best way to describe it?
Love the tunes but always cringe at people describing it as pop-punk. The songs don’t really have that crunch/muscle, even her interpolation of Misery Business sounds a bit hollow.
Her songs are great but they’re firmly power-pop, or in the same vein as Avril.
That’s why I put a question mark. It’s like a gen z attempt at pop punk but it’s really good at the same time. Whatever it is, put me down as a yes for her on the lineup

she’s not pop punk in the sense that she’s not and wouldn’t be at warped tour and when we were young but the chord progressions definitely have a pop punk feel. it’s 2020s pop rock that’s nostalgic towards alt rock and pop punk.

Totally agree, I hear the influences, especially considering where Dan Nigro came from.
If you’re looking at modern pop punk like Meet Me @ The Altar, Winona Fighter, Neck Deep, etc. she definitely doesn’t fit in.
It’s very much a carbon copy of what Avril did previously, play with the aesthetic and sound a bit while firmly remaining a pop act.

avril’s a good comparison. it’s like she rips the pop punk aesthetic but still pays tribute in her music
Best festival grounds I’ve ever been to by a mile. It’s a shame the music isn’t my speed. It’s an incredible atmosphere and set up. I purchased a whole weekend ticket and went for one night to see My Morning Jacket. I had a great time, but 1-2 nights is all I could handle. The camp grounds are significantly more loud filled with intense partying till very early in the morning.
TLTR: if you love edm and edm adjacent music for 4 straight days and don’t need sleep, you should go.
Reminder Brad said “You all seem very excited about the possibility of Justice and Gizz.” Why would he even say that if they weren’t on the lineup? Would be super lame.
Can someone pull up the link / context to this statement?
Do yall think roo will ever release the lineup before tickets go on sale?
Coachella did it this year, Electric Forest doing it as well. It seems like festivals are moving towards lineups releasing before general ticket sales.
Outside of the presale, I believe they do launch the general sale after the lineup.

He said it in a Discord server in response to some fans. Really isn’t more context beyond that.
New Kendrick and SZA tour has a tiny gap on Bonnaroo weekend. They would have to do Ontario > Bonnaroo > Pennsylvania, but its not impossible with the three days they have available...
