Maybe. But if they limit ticket sales like they did for the first cancelled one, it ought not be Springsteen/Fleetwood Mac levels of clusterfuck. Presale next week for LA residents. I’m going to be forced to buy one of my sons a ticket since they are LA residents. But that’s okay.
Oh double post, idc, I am so glad that my assumption that the Rolling Stones were going to play JazzyFest was right. I have been telling people that nonsense since they added the additional day. LOL
I am going to TRY to keep the OP updated with confirmed, rumored and likely. We can move shit around as we find out. Or it might just stay like that forever. LOL
Speculation thread at JFF has Tim McGraw, Rhiannon Giddens, a Jimmy Buffet Tribute which also will be at Hollywood Bowl, Bonnie Raitt, Bobby Rush, Brittany Howard as acts with open dates. I wouldn’t go to any of these specifically but those are some names people put out there.
Rolling Stones Thursday ticket prices announced for locals. Presale starts tomorrow, and runs through Dec. 2. Prices are $255 (before fees) and 6 per local limit. Weekend ticket prices were announced as well:
Early Bird Weekend 1 - $290 (APRIL 25, 26, 27 & 28) Weekend 2 - $465 (MAY 2, 3, 4 & 5) - includes Rolling Stone's Thursday
Wow - this is only a one page thread. Bumping for good measure and a love of New Orleans.
Where should I eat in NO next weekend? Nothing that needs a reservation. I refuse to be pinned down.
If you have transportation, Tan Dinh and Banana Blossom on the West Bank are both good (Viet and Thai). Seaworthy downtown has a late night oyster happy hour. LUFU is getting tons of mention - probably don’t need a reservation early or closer to closing time if you sit at the bar.
How bad does lodging get for this? I would love to go one year, and The Stones playing makes it incredibly enticing, but are prices on everything just outrageous and/or is it already too late to even get a decent place?

My favorite spot in town is Superior Seafood--you should be able to walk up and get a table this time of year as this is the deadest period, imo. Be sure to get there for HH and get a frozen french 75

Pretty bad but sometimes manageable. They have shuttles from downtown to the Fair Grounds, so transportation isn't really an issue if you stay downtown (plus many of the night and late night venues are there). Air B&B is probably the way to go if you have a couple of people to go in with.
