I cannot figure out who mike. is, a seemingly different rapper named mike comes up every time I google it, but apparently that's just Mike and this guy is mike. with a period. And he I guess also is a rapper even though his look really gives a bro country vibe?
I listened to like two songs and it was an extremely lame add that doesn't feel like it'll play into Sturgill at all. I don't know why it was so hard to add a Texas country artist to fit the theme and counter program Chappell better but whatever, I'm probably going to just go watch her from afar during that slot and hope it isn't too packed
also I am officially a ticket holder for Sunday of Weekend 2. If ticket prices drop for Saturday there's a chance I go that day and see Dua too. But there was no way I was missing Sturgill the way this tour is going

I wouldn't be shocked if the spot opposing Chappell was the hardest to fill but still, can you not throw a bone to like, Randy Rogers? or Wyatt Flores? They're not huge but it's probably the biggest payday they'd get in a minute and would play into Sturgill extremely well.
Also I think about this picture of 6lack playing at the same time as Paramore in 2022 a lot. Quality isn't great but you can faintly see Paramore's crowd way in the back.

Yeah that's the thing, there's so many easy Texas (or even Oklahoma) country artists that I'm sure would have loved that slot, wouldn't have cost too much, made counter programming sense to Chappell, and played into Sturgill quite well. Instead we get this guy?
Though yeah, no one was having a huge crowd against Chappell, but I also don't care if it was someone "big" enough for the slot, just wanted someone who made sense musically

The angle/placement of IHG and T-Mobile look to be different than in years past, but that could be just the maps artwork.
Feel like just the map artwork. I don't think the main four stages (amex/honda/t mobile/miller) have changed at all since my first ACL in '09, or maybe my memory is just shit now.
Although I will say it looks like Titos tent might be a little further back & to the side vs prior years, if that matters to anyone.
