i do truly wonder what the plan is. somebody has to play there but you know for a fact that whoever it is is only gonna draw a couple thousand people. do they grab something big in hopes of splitting the crowd? do they just throw a bone to GCJ or black pumas as a cheap and local pick? do they get some bumfuck DJ to just keep music playing on that end of the park? interested to see which route they go.

This is LN here--they'll 100% go with the cheapest warm body available.
He hasn't been relevant in a long while & yall will laugh at me, but...Shakey Graves?? Would be dirt cheap, playing State Fair that Friday of W1, local favorite, fits-in with the genre theme of Honda that day.

The Moody Amphitheater leaks were right, except Chappell Roan's missing. Do we think her show got scrapped or will be announced later?
I could see her being booked for SNL on the 12th and that’s why it was scrapped, but they also could’ve just decided to hold off announcing it until the week of or so since it’ll have no problem selling

Based on Chappell popularity and how Moody is set up, I could see them dropping the show entirely. There would be so many people camped out on Red River.
SNL makes sense, and/or LN has worked out a big arena tour for her and would rather sell out Moody Center for two nights in the spring than an ACL after
just got a facebook ad that says these are Dua’s only two US shows of the year. maybe a bigger grab than i initially thought.
this is giving me a weird freling that Coachella didnt get her for next year, they dont usually like to let another festival get huge grabs like that first
ACL: there wont be one! But we bumped Roan on the lineup placement for you.
a bunch of people on the subreddit keep asking about dom's replacement and i need to sticky a post once and for all explaining, "Chappell replaced Dominic, Caamp replaced Chappell, we're waiting on a Caamp replacement"

Billie headlined ACL 2021 and Coach 2022.
Childish Gambino headlined ACL 2018 and Coach 2019. Radiohead AND Kendrick headlined ACL 2016 and Coach 2017.
I wouldn't read too much into it. (Or conversely, if you wanna read WAY too heavily into it you could look at this the opposite way: Coachella has a bit of a history of pulling an ACL headliner from the previous year.)
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide

not sure how big of a loss it is for folks here but looks like catfish & the bottlemen are cancelling the rest of their tour including ACL for medical reasons
Moving Caamp to Saturday with it was kind of a weird move, but I guess if they are in talks with a country replacement for Fike it makes sense
I was thinking maybe Charley Crockett, he has in Austin show in two weeks so that'd be why they haven't announced it yet and he has the weekends open and is already local. And new albums to promote
Having seen Charley last night, I am now actively asking for this. That we've made it this long without that spot being filled makes me feel it's really possible
