Idk I know this is Glastonbury but again I don’t think we have to be so Coachella brained that we keep thinking that unless a festival gets the three biggest artists in the world they’ve failed on the headliner front. SZA is a perfectly fine headliner, and also there will be at least ten other stage headliners conflicting against her if she’s not your bag.

SZA is a much better headliner than a washed Madonna and v old Stevie Wonder. Dua Lipa with a fresh album. Hell even though coldplay isnt my cup of tea theyre still huge. undercard is fantastic too

I will say on the flipside that Madonna’s most recent show was maybe my favorite pop tour I’ve seen since COVID (and some version of it would be fun even though the full thing would be impossible to do at the festival) and that Stevie Wonder is hitting #superrare status now. I will defend just about anyone except for Black Pumas!
But seriously, give me their top 3. They one with DJ Seinfeld is the only one that’s ever really clicked for me
Yeah, it’s funny because they’ve spent the past year or so putting out a bunch of eurodance-adjacent singles with various DJs but that’s not the sound on their albums. It’s not a top 3 but my first recommendation would the first four songs from the first album, and then “Feels Like a Different Thing” from Tilt.

Whoever is going, don't skip on Coldplay. That is gonna be a beautiful show. Every euro show I saw was always close to mind blowing.
That reminds me, I think last time Coldplay headlined Glasto was when they also booked Adele and Muse. In 2011 they also booked U2 and Beyonce. Dua and SZA seem kinda weak compared to those years but both are gonna be around for years so maybe in 2030 I'd say that 2024 was a great year.
Also just saw Faithless on the 2024 lineup. I'll hunt your ass if you miss that show.
I got to be able to find a way to go at least once in my near future.

I tell anyone and everyone that will listen. Even if you don't like Coldplay, their lives shows are an absolute EXPERIENCE. I imagine Glasto would be even more special for them.

This lineup always looks great, but then you remember you’ll probably have to decide between seeing Coldplay, Justice, Idles, Sampha, Orbital, & Skream and Benga because the conflicts are always awful.
Looks like a great time though, just not a fest I’d ever put too much stock into the lineup for because you’ll really have no idea who you’ll actually be able to see until the schedule is out

Coldplay and Faithless don't get me to Glasto. This year is probably one of the weakest years for my taste. I've seen both many times, and would see them again. Just not at this Glasto.

Its pretty obvious with this breakdown who you will and wont be able to see just based on the billing. They go day for day first couple rows and then itll change up. But lots of dates will be out there by the time the schedule drops in May. Pretty much just make a handful of acts your priorities and fill in the rest. Also just consider giving yourself time to roam.
I missed the memo on IDLES jumping to other headliner lol
If its true then Sza was supposedly headlining Other and they bumped her. Idles had been offered to play again and they said no a while ago. When this arose they rang em up and offered headlining Other so they agreed.
this is a very solid lineup all in all i just wouldn't see any of the pyramid headliners. replace coldplay with blur and people's reaction would be much better

I mean you’re right, but people are complaining because Coldplay has played 5 times and want Radiohead who has played 6.
Anyway, as far as headliners I’m definitely seeing Dua. May also do SZA but it depends on how they end up scheduling Orbital and if I can feasibly do both.

Itll be doable. The Park is done 90 minutes earlier on Sundays. So Orbital subbing gives you plenty of time to get back to the Pyramid.
