It seems pretty obvious from my whopping 2 years at this fest that Tim loves his 90s alt bands. So do I. Hopefully we get a few more next year. As a resident Pumpkins super fan I would fully support that as a choice but not sure I would want them as more than a Piedmont closer.

Future of Ponce: I really liked this setup. It was definitely at it's worst during some of the warmer parts of Sunday but the additional space was really beneficial, especially with the amount of people at the fest. Saturday showed it at it's best.
Premium areas: I'll admit I was in one of the premium sections and it was pretty awesome this year. With that said I was very surprised by how they setup Peachtree stage access. Plat & VIP had the entire front of the stage and that was different from last year. I'm not sure how they might change this going forward. Is there any going back? It's smaller than Peachtree so you can't really stack it to one side. I also don't see how you shrink the Platinum side to the point where it is some jacked up side view unless you're one of the first 20 people there. Going to be tough for whoever has to make that call.
Peachtree stage was kind of a mess that last day for any GA who desperately wanted rail. That Lumineers walkway setup really cut into the rail layout and it was definitely to the detriment of GA (unless one was fortunate enough to be in the perfect spot against the walkway).
I think it was trantsgiving who brought up the idea of having two Shakys. Add one in the fall for more electronic and hip hop stuff, corner the Atlanta fest market.

It's an interesting idea.
you mean just bring back Shaky Beats?
no all still in the Shaky realm. Think more LCD, AnCo. More electronic adjacent maybe? But I think the focus on rap should be like Tyler, Vince, Denzel, etc. with rock still.
I would say I’m not really a rap guy but would add that I really liked the Digable Planets set* (nostalgia), JV&B, and bought tickets to the Killer Mike Ryman show in the middle of his set. So more of whatever is adjacent to all of that please.
*I had this drunk dude near me at the Digable Planets set. I’m sure all of you who were there heard the awkward moment towards the end where he was yelling his appreciation and thanking them for all they did for us. I couldn’t tell if it was real or parody but it was definitely uncomfortable.
