Why is the late night show so far away from the fest?
better question is why is this so called late night show during the Sunday headliner
It was also announced independently before Riot Fest made the announcement that it was an "official" Riot Fest late night show. They've booked Danzig so many times in different capacities over the years, so maybe this is a way of trying to preserve their relationship with him. It seems obvious he was supposed to play the fest and it didn't work out for whatever reason.

And during the fest. It would be a challenge to watch most of the Cure and even catch the back half of Danzig's set, I don't think there will be much crossover between those attending the fest on Sunday and folks who go to this show.

Cause the fest isnt in downtown Chicago. Even then it would still take you a bit to get to a venue for a show. But its even farther since its in Douglass. Like last year at Pitchfork it was still 40 mins on the train to get to a late night show from the park all the way up in Lakeview.

I just want to be able to see Postal Service, Queens of the Stone Age, Turnstile, The Cure, 100 Gecs, Death Grips, Viagra Boys, Code Orange, ICP, & P-Funk and any other conflicts I will begrudgingly accept without complaint.

Odds are good you'll be able to see most if not all of these without conflict. The top 5 are pretty much guaranteed.
Might Postal Service/DCFC conflict with Queens of the Stone Age? I’m hoping they schedule Postal Service/DCFC on Main stage with Queens on between the two sets on 2nd stage (like Yeah Yeah Yeahs last year). But it seems pretty variable the way the schedule the subheadliner - Yellowcard was on at the same time as Misfits. Hoping no conflict here.

I think this is exactly how it will be scheduled. DCFC on the Riot (main) stage from like 6-7, followed by Queens on Roots from 7-830, and then Postal Service closing out Riot for the night.
I’m just going to put it in a more simple way: unless you’re skipping a huge portion of Saturday you’re not going to make it to that Gorillaz show sang. :/

Already made plans to come into Chicago for O'Sees at Thalia Hall on 9/15 & 9/16 before this lineup was announced - do they normally do day passes for Riot Fest?
If so, kind of want to go on Saturday just for QOTSA and then split for O'Sees, timing might be iffy.
