How does this even work in a single day? I could enjoy something from many of those bands but also feel like it would be two songs per band then on to the next while I'm melting from the guitar shredding but really it's the sun.
Schedule and Map for WWWY. Expect the stages to be the same. Let us know what you think. Checker, Stripe and Neon have literal rotating stages. A band ended, it spun around and they finished set up then went on at their scheduled time.
For some scale there is this timelapse vide they did
Found a sweet deal at Luxor, tell me I won't regret this
lol I just noticed I read the map wrong, hope the monorail is worth a shit
If you got a good deal dont sweat it too much. Youre on the strip so its not the biggest pain overall to get there. And that side of the strip is now considered low end and such. As mentioned, distances are deceiving for sure. I wish Hard Rock was around, I wouldve jumped on a room there in a flash. But hopefully when they re open on the strip they keep the rooms and the vibe similar. It was one of the best off strip places to go, and of course they always got great shows.
Lovers and Friends was the same weekend this year. They got this as a reward. They underprepared too but adjusted for the second day. Wonder if its too big of an ask to have it start at 4pm and got til 2am so its not that bad with the weather.

We stayed at MGM for WWWY and took the monorail. Getting there was pretty easy but getting out was probably the worst experience I have ever had trying leave a festival. Completely miserable. If you plan on going the monorail route, I’d highly recommend just hanging out at Sahara for a bit or plan on leaving the festival early. I don’t wish that experience on any human
Anyone doing this? I’m still debating going to the fest itself but did get a ticket to the Stabbing Westward side show on Friday.
Ngl, I really wanna swing this for System of a Down, but Just Like Heaven is the same day here in the LA area. Seeing The Faint scratches that same era of nostalgia for me.

If anyone wants to buy 2 tickets for this, ready to go below face. Bought back then during presale, but just did Coachella, and cant afford another trip from Europe this soon.
Anyone know if paypal goods & services will indeed protect you if buying a ticket from someone online? Seems the SNW subreddit has basically become a place for people to unload unwanted tickets in lieu of paying Stubhub/Seatgeek fees. I don't blame them but not sure it's worth the risk as I'm not really familiar with that paypal G&S policy.

Yes, PayPal goods & services does protect you when buying tickets from a stranger online. Make sure that in the payment description you clearly describe the exact tickets you are buying and the type of ticket/delivery method (electronic transfer, PDF, etc.).
If someone does try to scam you, you will have to go through the tedious dispute process through PayPal, and you won't see the money back immediately, but if you really were scammed and you have proof of it, you will eventually get your money back.
Crazy they didn’t roll with Korn > SOAD since they were tour mates last year. Would be cool as hell to see Deftones before though. Also sucks that Sisters of Mercy are playing during SOAD.
Think if I were going, I’d do Death Grips > Mr. Bungle > Melvins > Turnstile > Incubus > She Wants Revenge > Deftones > SOAD > any last bit of Sisters of Mercy.
Well duh. But I think how it was last year at wwwy was pretty sound and did its job when it came to not having a crush up front. Half the front was ga and the other half vip which is fair. At Lovers and Friends last weekend there was a big problem with ga people jumping the barriers into vip viewing and then it was so full they stopped letting people in that shouldve been allowed in the first place. Weathers not looking the best now either, its getting into the mid 90's. A lot of people bought vip with the knowledge of wwwy's set up likely being how it would be and then they decided to create that monstrosity.
Interpol & The Walkmen 11.23 I Am Morbid/Suffocation 11.26 King Diamond 11.29 Sadistic Intent/Massacre 11.30 70K Tons Of Metal 2025 Hell's Heroes 2025 Sick New World 2025 Maryland Deathfest 2025
Had a couple friends go and they were up front in vip all day so they didnt experience a lot of the issues. Shitshow in many aspects. Not enough water stations. Too many people passing out. Not much shade. Long food lines. Not enough medics. The power cut out on the side stages a couple times which delayed sets and cut the time short of others. Sound wasnt consistent. Seems they mightve oversold it this time or just had added capacity because of how they set up the front are of the 2 main stages.

Didnt experience hardly any of this, had a GA pass so thats good news for me. Festival experience was really smooth. Showed up about 12:30 and took about 10 minutes to get in. Shade was kind of an issue but it was 96° and sunny so unless you just put up a shade tent over the entire grounds, makes it tough to support all but found shade when needed. They were handing out free bottles of water upon entry on top of the 32 oz water you could bring in. Drank those and refilled multiple times throughout the day without waits. Sound was inconsistent a few times (Sevendust power going out during the third song was worst) but for the height of the show (SOAD, Korn, Incubus, and Deftones) was perfectly fine. Ate food twice, no lines for my choices. Was able to move pretty freely whenever i wanted but found good spots for final 4 bands.
System played 31 songs! Unreal. Great experience but I do wish organizers would turn down the heat and make sure that people take better care of themselves next time around.
24 years after Woodstock '99 and promoters are still hosting festivals on asphalt-covered sites in 90+ degree weather smdh...
Well thats why edc happens at night and LiB is in september. Wwwy being in October was pretty ideal other than the wind thing. Sucks they just dont try it in december when a ton of acts have nothing happening so its doable.

Yeah. I get it's the desert (and I have never been to/seen a desert), but logistics are logistics...
If you can't figure that shit out and/or are going to cut corners, get out of the business. Crowd safety should be a top priority, especially after Astroworld.
And I say that having run wild/overcrowded/hot as hell house shows. We took care of people and made sure everyone was okay. Not out of a legal obligation. Out of a moral one.

I think live nation's "line" when it came safety was allowing ins and outs. Although they didnt realize the re entry passes were getting sold for $100 a pop and it was getting even more crowded than the oversell they had already done.
