This. Not going to say this is some horrible lineup. It's just not sparking a lot with me really. Like I mentioned previously, maybe this is the year outside lands or ACL or Lolla get visited for the first time.
Edit: Vieux, your like reminded me that Voodoo came up when I was having lunch with alawre today. If it was still around, it would be on the possible list for sure.
Dammit. Y'all would have loved voodoo. 😭😭😭
I know, right? It's funny bc I told her not to mention voodoo around you bc you'd get sad, but I couldn't help but bring it up.
Anyone know (generally) how accurately one can make a clashfinder based on the initial lineup? The one Bing made would be phenomenal for me if that was close.
there's never been a mock exactly the same but based on past years people can get pretty close about who will play late night, what the lineup will be on a particular stage one day, who will close which on sunday, etc.
i don't even like the lineup that much but jesus christ man it's gonna be a fun place to do drugs in a field, sorry it doesn't have my morning jacket or whatever
Is there even one psych act on the lineup for the cid kids? Doing drugs and going to see Suicideboys does indeed sound…lit?
Im 99% sure youre joking but just in case someone else is curious:

New here, y'all usually this salty on line-up day?
This one seems a little more zoomer geared at first glance to me. It's not up to par with '20 or '21 but damn, it's not like they got some Oasis cover band to play Wonderwall 1000x. 🙄
Stoked to see, at first glance:
Thursday: Sidepiece, Blu Detiger, Sons of Kemet, Adam Melchor, Andy Frasco, the Dip, and motherfuckin' NOTHING.
Friday: Plant, J. Cole, King Gizz, Lord Huron, Still Woozy, Whiskey Myers(weird grab IMO, couldn't get Turnpike Troubadours I guess), Denzel fuckin' Curry, Tai Verdes has some catchy tunes, the Regrettes, Briston, and Maggie Rose.
Saturday: FLUME, Billy MF Strings, Porter, Marc Rebillet, Chris Lake, Luda, Tobe Niwigwe, Mt Joy, Nora En Pure, Slowthaaaaai!!, Femi Kuti, and Cory Henry.
Sunday: Stevie, Nathaniel Rateliff, Wallows, All Them Witches, Sierra Farrell, Flipturn, and 100 Drums.
35+ acts I'd love to see right off the bat without delving into anyone I don't know yet? I ain't mad about it.
4 or 5 songs in and I still have no idea if Puscifer is good or not
I think they've slumped a bit with their last two albums. I absolutely adore the entire "C is for" EP and think its their best work. All those songs are gold. Conditions of my Parole is their second best release - particularly Tiny Monster, Green Valley, Horizons, Oceans and Tumbleweed.
Then I'd go first album or the Don't Shoot the Messenger EP, both have good songs but are about 50/50 hit and miss. I love Rev 22:20 and The Undertaker remixes on the EP.
Money Shot is fine but I mostly just like Galileo, Grand Canyon and The Remedy. Wasn't too impressed with their newest, Existential Reckoning, but its not bad. Just no stand out tracks for me.
On the plus side, they always have engaging and semi-elaborate stage shows. So it should be a highlight of the weekend for those attending.
is it the music of the year 1984 or covering van halen's 1984? cool either way but i read into it as a van halen tribute. guess we don't have a definitive answer right now
They could have just booked Unchained if they wanted an idea that bad

if you look at a bunch you'll get a pretty good idea. also helps to read the comments from the people who make them, they'll often tell you what assumptions they are making and, more importantly, what biases they have. often people make clashfinders trying to create out a schedule that avoids certain conflicts, i.e. goose vs gizz vs disclosure.
bonnaroo can surprise you though. sometimes they produce a schedule that has a surprising lack of conflicts by doing something unique with the schedule, like everybody just assumed act X would be late night and then they aren't. however the yin to that yang is that sometimes bonnaroo creates conflicts nobody foresaw at all.

agree with druid this is tame. having said that things will get more positive as we get further from lineup day and closer to the festival, as people not attending will comment less, and people attending will start sharing new artist finds, mock schedules, scheduling meetups, etc. in other words things will get more positive moving forward. might see a spike in negativity on schedule day or late night announcements, depending on how that goes.

Watch some live shit. Every tour is different. They did Vaginal Airways at Roo ‘12 and something completely different at Voodoo 16 or 17. It’s not maybe as technical as Tool or APC, but it’s kind of a fun time and does rock.
The lineup is not for me. But I’m not going to trash anyone that likes it and wants to go. Find another festival. It’s that easy.

IMAGINE THE MONEY YOU’LL SAVE BY JUST DOING BIG EARS WITH ME
I hate Tool with all my life but I actually like Puscifer. I don't get it but that's just how life is sometimes.
Probably because of how completely different those bands are. Where you can kind of draw some parallels between A Perfect Circle and Tool despite their dissimilarities, Puscifer is something else entirely. And live is different from the albums because theyre often taking on some type of social issue.

Oh yeah. Big Ears and Riot Fest are still very much on the table. I bought my Riot Fest ticket like two fucking years ago, so I almost have to go now on principle regardless of the lineup.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
i’m currently driving back to school so can’t elaborate much, but here’s a quick off-the-dome top 5.
Billy MF Strings, King Gizz, Moore Kismet, Flume, J. Cole
i have pretty hefty lists for each day though, so i am all over the place with what i like
ok!
flume could def be a meetup. have you checked out Weval yet? do you enjoy acts like LP Giobbi and Nora en Pure and Chris Lake?
Just saw Giobbi at Hula and she was absolutely phenomenal. So much energy and she was mixing and playing some keys live. I can't wait to see her again on the farm!
