Both 3 on 3 hoops teams lost today. I'm kind of at a loss for why the teams are so...weak I guess? They'll probably go on to the golf medal match now that I said it but it feels like there have to be better cup of coffee NBA guys. Jimmer makes sense, I'm talking other guys at Jimmer's level.

When people talk about "made-up" sports at the Olympics this is a prime example to me. I love basketball but I don't really understand the 3v3 thing.

With the womens team its pretty obvious that not having Cameron Brink is gonna be an issue. She was the Mvp in the Fiba Cup last year for a reason. Led the tourney in blocks and rebounds.

for the men’s only the players that played in the 3x3 season to qualify can play on the team I think. Also we played the goat 3x3 country
They're playing rugby on last night's Bachelorette. So zeitgeist-y.
watched both the Gold match and the Bette episode with Mrs Flair tonight and we were joking about one of the women being in both and wondering which moment was a bigger deal to her, winning a gold medal or appearing on the Bachelorette?

Gotta be the gold but if it's a silver or bronze that's a conversation.

Jimmer Fredette is a meme from 2011, he's like if we had an 8 man American football team in the year of our lord 2024 and made Tim Tebow the focal point.
womens team epee fencing finals were insane, and in the grand palais!
I feel like theyve absolutely killed it with the on location stuff. the fencing, beach volleyball under the Eiffel, skateboarding at la Concorde, surfing in Tahiti, etc.

I’m almost more in awe of Suni though. Had zero idea she had organ failure after Tokyo and came back and started training in January. That’s fucking nuts.
