These events are some of my favorites. When the games were in Atlanta, they did the kayaking and canoeing on the Ocoee river outside of Chattanooga. My friend older brother was a fart guide so we grew up going there and it was so cool to see the Olympics in a river that I had been in a bunch. I don't know where they're doing it for Paris, but it's a great way to get surrounding areas some burn and bucks. Love it.
HAHAHHA, I just checked my notifications and reread what I wrote. That's my favorite gaffe ever. May rafts forever be farts.
Of course, as soon as I start stanning US Women's 7s Rugby, they get their ass handed to them by France. I still love Ilona but holy shit, Seraphine Okemba is such a badass. (RUGBY NERD-DOM ACTIVATE) She spent half the match either drawing 4-5 US players into contact because no one of them could bring her down on their own or just turning on the jets and outpacing everyone on the wing. The one French try she didn't score was entirely set up because the US was so focused on keeping her out of the try zone that Chloe Jacquet could just waltz in.
Anyway, I will try to pay less attention to US vs. GB in the knockout round later so as not to get my bad mojo all over them, again.
EDITED TO ADD: It worked! US beats GB 17-7. Let me state here that I am also completely not invested in whether they beat New Zealand in the semifinals.
BONUS: Canada beat France! What an upset and a great secondhand revenge from our neighbors to the north.
Gf was just dying cause the water was so crystal blue when we watched some of the coverage. Looks amazing. Scarjo must really be hating Colin Jost right now especially if she had gotten stuck at Comic Con this past weekend lol.

Rugby fucking rules.
Guess youll have to go in 2028 now. I would hope that a lot more people take interest in Rugby when the games hit LA despite the debut of Flag Football next games. Like yeah, itll be cool to see a handful of the fastest Nfl players going at it but its glorified training camp. At least with Rugby you see everyone getting the shit kicked out of them.

FUCK YES US WOMEN'S 7S TAKES THE BRONZE MEDAL WITH A 14-12 WIN OVER AUSTRALIA.
They took the L in the semis vs. NZ, but there's no shame in that given that the Black Ferns are favorites for the gold and an absolute monster side.
But for the Americans to medal, especially in a tight win over a traditional hotbed for the sport...and with a last-minute, nearly full-field run for the winning try...epic AF.
This has been jorgeandthekraken's Olympics 7s rugby update. Congrats to Team USA. Everybody watch more rugby.
men's soccer has been doing pretty well as well. started off with probably the favorites in the tourney (france) and got a bad result but played pretty well and then dominated the next two games in the group. quarterfinals matchup with morrocco to get to the medal round
