Well shit. If Roo is rescheduled for June then Tame looks likely to be out. They're now scheduled to play the Primavera Sound festivals on Thu. June 3 and Fri. June 11.

BUT PLANES
Honestly wouldn't be impossible for them to do some Europe shows May June then start a US festival run Sunday of roo. But that is still a tight turnaround.

Part of me feels like with having 2 bad dates for 2020. They might just move it to September. More likely to have an accessible vaccine by then and I think you’ll have an easier time at getting acts to commit

That would really hurt for the large amount of college kids that go to Bonnaroo.
On the What Stage podcast earlier this year, one of the people who books the festival said that Tame Impala was their most requested artist. That'd be a huge blow to not get them next year.
1. What 5 non-headlining artists from each day are your top artists you'd like to keep for 2021?
2. What (realistic) headliner should replace Tame?
Friday: Run the Jewels, Primus, Turkuaz Bonnaroo should also try and hold onto Bassnectar and Glass Animals considering their popularity at Bonnaroo too.
Saturday: King Gizz, Yaeji, The Growlers, Denzel Curry, Oysterhead
Sunday: Vampire Weekend, Lana, Young Thug and I'm indifferent to the rest.
I don't really know if there is a better realistic replacement for Tame Impala. Assuming Tool is still in and it wouldn't be a headliner bigger than them. Frank Ocean would make me not care about missing Tame Impala, but that's getting a little too crazy.

Replacement headliner The Black Keys
The Black Keys replacing Tame Impala would be a huge let down for me. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of Keys songs I love, especially in their earlier days, but their last tour was not very enjoyable to me. Could have been the crowd, they just seemed so generic. I don't know if that's the word I am looking for, but it just let me down.

there isn't an easy headliner replacement you could just slot in for Tame Impala. they are a big draw and have a sound unique amongst headliners.
Besides my standard phish answer, I think Lady Gaga would be great. Would give me something to look forward to all weekend, and would be a big positive show and spectacle to close down the fest on Sunday. Plus two female headliners would be cool.
I said Black Keys not out of desire to see them , just felt they were same ballpark as Tame (price wise, maybe cheaper). Gaga would be incredible. I personally would enjoy Kendrick , especially if he is going to put out a new album.

i hear you, black keys seems totally reasonable as another "rock" act. i too would be disappointed and would probably leave before their set. kendrick would definitely be great.
shout out to kendrick for growing tremendously as a live performer. i first saw him at buku fest 2013 and it was a bad show. bonnaroo 2015 was a significant improvement, but by the time i saw him at voodoo fest in 2017 he was a god on the stage.
Black Keys’ tour sold pretty poorly and their album didn’t make anywhere near the waves their previous albums did. I’d be shocked if Roo booked them and am kinda surprised they’re still playing the venues they are.

The main reason I picked them was I remember the What Podcast said they talked to the Black Keys to headline this year. I think it’d be an uninspired choice.
Kendrick has gotten better every time I’ve seen him which I think now is 6 times. Also Post I didn’t think of Phish which is the correct answer.
Interesting to say the least . I’d be down for this
Worst case scenario for me.
I'm gonna be stuck either eating my ticket or driving fifteen hours to see 10% of the 2020 Bonnaroo lineup as dictated by Live Nation.
If they were gonna do this I'd at least prefer that they rebooked it with a deeper bill. Like 90's Lolla on three consecutive days with three different line ups. You cannot create a Desert Trip line up cherry picking out of the 2020 Bonnaroo lineup.
I just don’t see how modeling something after a pre-social distancing music festival does anything to actually stop the spread of COVID. At that point just have the festival
I would want Arcade Fire to replace Tame. They are back in the studio, I would expect a new album sometime next year. This is going to be a weird year for guessing the lineup. I am sure they want to keep a lot of the same artists but realistically what percentage do you guys think would be the same? 20-30, 40-50, 50 and above?
