Pretty weird that Bonnaroo hasn't announced that this year is cancelled. If they don't do so by today or tomorrow, that's a really bad look imo.
Why today or tomorrow?
Because Coachella, Shaky Knees, and Music Midtown have already announced. Maybe they'll announce next Tuesday. But any time after that would be ridiculous.

it’s probably all financial. They don’t wanna announce the cancellation without being able to offer refunds immediately (again). That or they wanna lock down new dates.

Sure but they've got like three months and its not like people have anything else to do. They offered up refunds if people wanted to back out. At this point it feels like they should be able to make their decision on their own timeline for a while.

I dont really get the rush. They should cancel before 30 days before the scheduled date but its not like too many people rent a hotel/house for Roo, just wait it out and who knows.
RTJ are also booked the Friday and Saturday of Roo weekend next year to open for Rage in Cali. If it was a typical opener I'd say they'd just take those shows off. But I feel like RTJ is an important piece of that tour and the reason some people bought tickets.
I'm maybe in the minority, but if both Tame and RTJ were out for June next year, I would rather Roo just happen in September. Those were my two most anticipated sets.

Brittany Howard (4:30-5:30) The 1975 (6:30-7:45) Miley Cyrus (8:45-10:00) Tool (11:00-1:00) Which Stage Megan Thee Stallion (5:45-6:45) Run The Jewels (7:45-8:45) Glass Animals (10:00-11:00) Bassnectar (1:00-2:15)
I hate putting Bassnectar on the Which Stage AGAIN, but I have a hard time coming up with a schedule that flows well putting him on the What Stage.
Saturday
What Stage

Having King Gizzard late night Which is weird, but that's what I'm going with because of their billing.
Sunday
What Stage
Grace Potter (3:45-4:45) Leon Bridges (5:45-7:00) Lana Del Rey (8:00-9:15) Tame Impala (10:15-12:00) Which Stage Flogging Molly (5:00-6:00) Young Thug (7:00-8:00) Vampire Weekend (8:45-10:15)

I thought that the theory we were operating under was that they were only running the What?

Oh is that what we're doing? My bad. I thought we were just coming up with what could have been.
Edit: totally skipped over the part where zac said he's doing a mock for 14 act Roo

For what it's worth, someone posted a link in a Facebook group saying that they opened ticket sales back up to local residents. I'll try to find and link.

daaaamn those local ticket prices are cheap as hell
Ticket prices including taxes: $160.82, $70.36 for car camp, and $47.66 for a car pass.
thanks for sharing, really interesting. cynical mind says they are just bringing in cash flow betting that many will roll forward tickets to next year after cancellation. crazy mind is thinking crazy bonnaroo organizers are thinking of being the only festival to go on in late 2021.

If they are just trying to bring in cash flow in hopes people would roll over to next year - it wouldn't make sense to only open up it to locals in the area at a discounted rate.
I have not been following that close since I wasn't planning on going, and highly doubt I would even consider in September - but it seems like with 90 days to go they're planning on some sort of festival happening. Obviously a lot can happen between now and then.
I mean first the lineup will not be the same. Many bands and artists are announcin’ that they are not tourin’ fer the rest of 2020. So they’ll need to announce a new lineup. And will the new lineup be satisfactory to current ticket holders? I highly doubt that.
