Jerry Seinfeld is speaking out in Jimmy Fallon's defense.
Following the release of a new Rolling Stone exposé, in which two current and 14 former staffers at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon opened up about the alleged "toxic workplace" at the late-night show, Seinfeld refuted an anecdote in which he was mentioned, calling it an "idiotic twisting of events."
In the article, two employees recall a specific "uncomfortable" incident in which Fallon allegedly publicly "scolded" a crew member in charge of his cue cards while taping a segment with Seinfeld -- prompting Seinfeld to tell Fallon to apologize, which he then allegedly did.
"It was very awkward, and Jerry [Seinfeld] was like, 'You should apologize to him,' almost trying to make it a joke," a former employee claims in the piece. "It was one of the strangest moments ever and so many people were there, so it's kind of hard to forget."
Following the publication of the story, Seinfeld sent a statement to Rolling Stone in response: "This is so stupid. I remember this moment quite well… I teased Jimmy about a flub, and we all had a fun laugh about how rarely Jimmy is thrown off. It was not uncomfortable at all. Jimmy and I still occasionally recall it and laugh. Idiotic twisting of events."

Definitely could be a matter of perspective. To some people a certain event seems way worse than to others. Though I could see Jerry also feeling like it wasn't a big deal while the crew and other employees felt differently. Who knows? Unless we hear from the cue card guy about he he felt it's a matter of he said she said I guess.

Kinda disappointed that even Red and Kitty supposedly wrote letters of support.
Look....I totally understand the feeling of "that's not the guy we know" but to hear what he's accused of, see the evidence of retaliation and intimidation against women, and still decide to go through with a letter of support is pretty lame.
Extra insane that they called Danny a role model. Wow

If you can make It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia today you could make Seinfeld. There might be an episode or premise here or there that would get cut, but it's not like it was wall-to-wall edgy.

I watch a lot of Dateline, and not once have I seen an episode in which a friend or family member of a murderer believes that person did it, even when the evidence is overwhelming.

It’s super weird that as a society we used to just think “oh as long as she (or he) is 18, they’re fair game”. Like in a socially acceptable sense. I remember that time. Now that I’m the age that Seinfeld was when he started dating her (38), I can’t believe he would have been so public about it. It feels embarrassing.
I say all that to say, at some magically ambiguous time during their relationship, let’s say around the second year, she was a gorgeous woman. I just looked her up. I remember as a kid thinking she was smoking hot

Always liked Kilborn, good to see he was bringing up how weird the show writers/runners were. Probably why he disappeared from Hollywood after he left the late late show

Rosie: "Depends what kind of an actor you are..."
It's wild they all turned out for Masterson. Topher's a real one, but we knew that when he reedited Star Wars as a way of coping with having to play a Grand Wizard of the KKK.
