Thought of you as well 3post1jack1 and had a good laugh when it happened; so prophetic! Told the people around me that Carini was coming to get them out of the gates and everyone was very pumped when they launched into it.
Indeed a bummer we couldn't connect. Trying to fight the Gambino crowd to get over towards the bee side was nearly impossible. I settled for pit on the other side once I saw the line was short. Didn't help I had almost 0 service all weekend in centeroo so meeting up with anyone all weekend was a challenge.
crowd mixed with first timers, casual fans and even lots of seasoned vets
I was surrounded by Wilson screaming vets (one, named after Trey, called the finale of 'First Tube' when I asked for her guess). They were not disappointed.
I keep cracking up at my buddy's simple analysis of the Phish sets. He caught a bit of the Friday show as well as the Sunday set with me. He really enjoyed them, but at the end all he could think to say is "Phish is fuckin' weird, man." Lmao
That's basically all me and my new friend who hadn't seen Phish before either were saying back and forth lol. Most of the time followed by "I love this!"
Im not a fan of PBR. This one is still in the refrigerator from Sunday Bonnaroo. Clearly I was Pabst’d out by that point, and no one cares enough to drink it. So this relic exists in the refrigerator I suppose as a memento of my favorite show so far this year u

glad you are making some non festival shows! i love any phish i can get but indoor phish is superior, IMO.
btw i'm trying to keep non-roo phish discussion in the regular phish thread. but i'm just a dude with no power to enforce anything so do what you wanna.

Curious , since it’s my first time buying tickets for a phish show , should I do the ticket request that they are currently offering or wait till they go officially on sale?

the good news is it looks like charleston is a general admission show, so by all means do PTBM (aka phish tickets by mail, aka ticket lotto, aka ticket request). if you don't get all the shows for PTBM you want then try for public on-sale.
as a general rule moving forward, if you think a show is low demand, wait for public onsale, as you are likely to get better seats than through PTBM. but whenever a show is high demand go for PTBM because it gives you another chance to get in the door, even if the seats you get aren't the best.
having said that i almost always do PTBM. i love good seats but i just like to take every opportunity to get in the door, especially when it's a show where ticket demand is hard to gauge. for example dicks was an easy pickup for years, then one year it sold out and it's been a high demand ticket ever since. through PTBM i've mostly gotten lawns or OK seats but i've also gotten pits, floor seats, etc.
^ any idea if Providence is gonna be a high demand?
That Fenway show I did, I paid below face value on Stubhub a few days before hand. Since the Dunk is much smaller, dunno if I can get lucky like that again.
