I found the article but it is older than I thought. I guess I didn't look at the date.
Hope Sandoval, meanwhile, is already looking beyond Seasons Of Your Day. “We’re planning to start touring around November in the US and we’ll come out to Europe and do a few shows,” she explains. “I’m excited about it. I’m looking forward to getting together with everybody and playing some of the old songs, and having dinner and wine, catching up with everybody.”
Also found a 2017 article that said that she was getting back in the studio with Mazzy Star but had no tour dates yet:
Sandoval says Mazzy Star “has nothing right now. We do plan on going into the studio, but we don’t have any dates. We’re focused on [this] tour. We’re just doing a very small benefit for Esperanza Spalding in San Francisco. I think we’ll be on stage 15 minutes.”
I really thought that first article was more recent. We will see what the polls says, I have a replacement in mind if needed.
Should I post this on the poll page as well? I never know what I am supposed to be doing.
If they announced a tour, I think this automatically means that they were potentially active when Vieux drafted them, though perhaps not DEMONSTRABLY potentially active. Like if we see a frog, it automatically means it was a tadpole, even if we have no proof it was a tadpole. The prior state of "potentially active" is a necessary condition for being "active", even if such a state can only be known after the fact.
Ie I agree with walaka.
They didn't and haven't announced any tour
With your logic, you shouldn't have been allowed to draft Devo either. They haven't announced a tour, announced only one show, and the only show they played within the last three years was for a benefit and does not count.
Even though I didn't agree with extending the timeline, when cdevaney sent out a private message and asked those of us who got it in on time if we were okay with extending it, I defending those who were late and actually advocated for us to wait for them cause people make mistakes.
Goes to show what being nice does.
I don't think this is a situation that would call for regretting being nice. I also don't think these are a blatant disregard for the rules. I mean this is all supposed to be for fun.
It's fun, but the inconsistency of rules is something I've lamented throughout the entire draft.

They announced their show before I picked them, there is nothing similar about them.
Also this draft stopped being fun a long while ago.
I don't like that you feel this way at all.
I mean I had some fun and even tried to be a dick for a few days, but overall, no.
Instead of having a discussion about why we pick our acts the way they do, or pointing out why some lineups here doesn't have a better gender balance etc (which looks like so far I am the only person to care enough to post about how these are reflected in my lineup), all we're arguing about is if a certain act is allowed, if someone should be picked as a free agent, or some other stupid things.

Haven't had the chance to present mine yet Fred
I'm hopeful about your presentation indeed! That's why I said "so far".
Actually this made me wondering what kind of electronic live acts consist of women? I just glanced at my Other line up and DJs are well represented ofcourse, but live acts..? not that much when I think about it. First thing that came to mind was Royksopp and Hundred Waters (but they're more a band imo)

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

You consistently keep mentioning how you're the only one ("except hambone") who likes real music and how you dumbed down your lineup for us, and now you're taking the I'm the only one who cares about gender road. Talk about shit posts.

I didn't say or imply any of these things with the exception of gender issue. Don't twist my words.
Also this draft stopped being fun a long while ago.
The only unfun parts were towards the end when the picking dragged on and when I was frantically getting my lineup in late (my fault)
If redfrog and Walaka both started walking into a doorway at the same time, I bet they'd just both say 'after you, no after you' until they died. So wholesome.
