This lineup needed some more Heavy Rock. A band like Nothing More, or Highly Suspect wouldn't cost an astronomic amount to book and would have been attractive on the lineup.
Seriously though, the weird stuff is what got me as a young'n. My first night there we were camped so far away it seemed like a 45 minute walk to Centeroo and some dudes dressed up like Roman soldiers were carrying William Ho on a chariot while he sang a bunch of popular songs horribly into a crappy karaoke system with girls on stilts twirling ribbons and the like. One of the girls fell down and then a bunch of folks ran over to help her and she instructed us exactly how to get her back up then when we did I had my first high five of my 14 years of going or whatever it is now. I had never really experience anything like that. #radiatepositivity I used to love Such N Such as well. I wish they'd bring some of that back.
Yeah it's the difference between "weird" and "Live Nation Presents: Weird™"
And I never went to Roo when it was truly weird
Last really weird roo thing I remember was the portugal, the man parade through centeroo with the Mr T float... I think that was the same year as the deer tick Nirvana surprise show on the sun stage? 2011 I believe

I think Highly Suspect or Greta Van Fleet (heck maybe both) will be added. I also suspect Dillon Francis (and other basic EDM acts) will be added as well. MGMT, to me, is hit or miss live but I could see them added as well.

So far there are two bands from my lineup from the draft we did. Two. Amadou & Mariam and Rufus Du Sol. I'm already going but I hope that they add at least one cool band. It is very strange if they are announcing additions that soon, but it could bode well because Forecastle's lineups are usually very good.
Honestly I think I saw it on Facebook but now I can't find it. I have no idea how I would have imagined that. Especially because it was so specific.
Was it an actual post from bonnaroo?
Yeah I'm pretty sure it was. Maybe it got deleted? Or maybe I'm going crazy. I just remember seeing "final" artist additions which struck me as weird. But I guess it's nothing for right now.

If the post existed, I think they’re specifying “final” because the small club/cafe acts were all included in the initial release. (A couple of folks have counted bands and found about 40 more on the initial lineup than usual.)
Last year i literately spent my bonnaroo at the other stage haha from thw 1st set til 3am lol Looks like this year I will be hovering around diff stages for sure! you bet your ass imma flip a bottle when denzel curry plays ULT haha

ULT is a different song than Ultimate, everyone knows that.
At the Drive In or Refused would be great hard rock additions that wouldn't cost too much. Pretty sure the hype around their returns has died down.
I dunno if ATDI would play. Last time The Mars Volta played, Cedric went on a lengthy rant about how Bonnaroo's guitar techs suck.
TIL bands let random people employed by Bonnaroo set up their gear at shows where they probably play for more people than they usually play for. Weird. Always figured they had their own staff.

Per Cedric, the guy was actually employed by Guitar Center.

If it said final would that include comedy too? I find it hard to believe they would make the announcement so soon. Normally they try to spread out announcements so they keep bonnaroo on peoples minds.

I’m not really sure how you fuck up being a guitar tech. I’m not saying it’s super easy, but you just need to make sure the guitars are in tune, the knobs are on the right level and the pedals are in correct order. It’s basic shit for any guitar player.

In any case, if the post got deleted it may have not been accurate. We probably shouldnt expect anything, it would be cool to see additions so early though.

Guitar Center. It’s on Thompson Lane at 100 Oaks shopping center. Across from a good Kurdish restaurant. They have great lamb kabobs. That adds absolutely nothing to this coversation. I just thought I would share.

This, and I can't imagine it being that hard a fix as a professional guitar player if someone messed one of those things up.
It's almost like Cedric is a huge diva or something.

A girl I work with is going to Roo for her first time this year. She's about twenty (pretty sure she's not drinking age). It doesn't seem like she knows the lineup very well. She's mostly excited for Eminem and a little bit for Future, from what I can gather. I don't think she knows who Bon Iver is.

Very happy for her, overall.
Sounds like my first roo. In 2005 I knew a small handful of acts and was excited to go anyway. It ended up being a great time

Tbh I went to my first Bonnaroo for the vibez. I didn't do any research. I was mostly just excited for the hip hop on the lineup (Kendrick Lamar, ASAP Rocky, Action Bronson, Death Grips ect.)
