Half this board have probably never heard of Raconteurs
True, we don't really listen to much music here
Tbf, Maddog listens to more music than I do and thought they were called "the Racounters", which isn't even a word.
And yes, it is now my mission to make sure everyone knows this.
More on topic, let me tell you about some new music that came out in 2018. Justin Timberlake came out with a song this year that was so bad that my even posting it in this thread (it being new music that came out in 2018) was deemed trolling and my post got deleted. That is hilarious to think about. Also, he's headlining Coachella.

DOH! My post came out terribly wrong!. No slight to anyone on this board, obviously deeply knowledgeable in all things music. I was referencing the ETERNITY that's passed since the Raconteurs' last, incredible album. Ten. Freakin'. Years. Practically a musical generation. The Beatles only recorded music for about 8 years.
Kevin expects the new album to be out next summer. Hopefully that means an early single or two, and some summer festival appearances. I really enjoyed their sets at GovBall '15 and Firefly '16.
Hot on the heels of Captured Tracks' reissue of Capital Punishment's 1982 album Roadkill, the quartet of Kriss Roebling, Ben Stiller, Peter Zusi, and Peter Swann return with This Is Capital Punishment - an EP of new material recorded almost 35 years after the group disbanded.
With the "Confusion" remake leading off the EP, Capital Punishment burn through four other tracks that all explore the darker edges of rock 'n' roll. From the strangely sultry "Drumming Out Time Inside Me" and "Grey And Illuminate" to the band's favorite "Hot Love," Capital Punishment may not be teenage punks anymore, but they certainly haven't lost their edge. Pressed on translucent blue vinyl, This Is Capital Punishment is limited to 1500 copies worldwide and will be available November 23 as part of Record Store Day's 2018 Black Friday.

Can't wait for a chance to see their show.
I was impressed with the live show vs. the album. I fell in love with Public Practice though. If you dig Bodega, I'd check them out.

Had the chance to listen to this album a couple weeks ago. It's very good. Maybe a little less memorable than Modern Country but I only got to listen once

New Juan Maclean is structured around the same song Koze sampled in Pick Up, but covered by a male group, possibly the Temptations? Fun to listen to both back to back
