yeah i remember catching the first like half hour of that set then booking it over to Tyler, The Creator. Had a much better time at Tyler, but MGMT was pretty good imo and will be more fun at a fest like Firefly.
I'm still bummed I missed that Tyler set, but I'm going to coachella this year and planning on catching him there if the schedule works out.
So thinking back to 2016 on Saturday with Florence into Deadmau5 on the main stage... I wish they would somehow pull off Arctic Monkeys 10 PM - 11:30 PM follow by Kendrick 12:30 - 2 AM on the main stage.
I'm almost certain everyone downing the coach lineup have never listened to Soulwax or Jamiroquai. Fix that if you haven't.
It's not as stacked as year's past (that could be said for all the fests this year though), but there are still extremely solid exclusives and some of the best active, shared acts of 2018.

I feel like I would basically be settling for all these lineups so far to be fair. Even Shaky Knees (which has received tons of praise here) is a little vanilla.
eh i dont know about by that much. if youre not into those unknown electronic and world type acts Coach doesnt appear to offer much
and if you're not into those shitty electronic, hip-hop, and indie type acts, Firefly doesn't appear to offer much
for a mainstream, multi genre fest it think this offers enough. im not going and typically dont like FF lineups but this aint too bad. not even trying to compare it Coach just pointing out that Coach is just also pretty bad unless youre a huge music snob.

agree 10000%. ive only really been interested enough to go to Forrest and Bottle Rock but neither are happening anyway.

It's as if Red Frog is allergic to the idea of booking artists that haven't played previously. I mean, how many times does this festival need to book The Killers, Foster the People and Cold War Kids. Why any festival is willing to drop so much money on acts like Lil Wayne and Cold War Kids in 2018 is beyond me.
The state of the music festival is absolutely dire....

I may be forced to go to Carolina Rebellion because no mid-tier fest has put out anything that my girlfriend likes better (and she is into pop/rap/their demos).
