I can't believe there isn't any serious speculation yet for Firefly (aside from who will be at hangout). Especially if Festive Owl is right and the lineup for Firefly is supposed to drop in early-mid January.

Does anyone have anything at all?

There's no solid evidence to back that up though other than the fact that they don't have any June tour dates.
Even with TOP last year it was pretty much known.
I'll say it again, no major US Festival has made them a headliner yet, so it's hard to say that it's likely at the moment.
Made In America booked them to HL the LA version but as it neared they added Kanye and Mayer bcuz it sold so bad. But that wasnt really a true reflection of IG bcuz that fest was an awful idea. But its bound to happen for them to HL a major US in a true form and FF seems as likely as any since theyre not at Hangout
Firefly has posted about them recently, and they have said so many times about how much they love that they started at the bottom of the lineup and came up. This is probably the year for them to come back again and headline or be the 4 or the 5. I think that would be bad and I dont want that however, I dont think that would kill the festival if they book a decent undercard this year unlike 2017.

Here's the thing: people on here, even actual Firefly reps like mikeg, said they don't hate the audience enough to book The Killers again since it's be there 3rd time headlining.
I know they weren't always headliners, but this would be Imagine Dragons 3rd time playing, and in 2014 they were 4th on the lineup.
Not that I want to see The Killers here again, but the same principle should apply: don't book 3rd time repeats to headline, especially garbage ones.

Twenty One Pilots did this exact thing last year.
EDIT: I'm with you, I hope that ID isn't going to be headlining this, but there's a very good chance.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all for firefly to book Imagine Dragons as a headliner for 2018, but the difference with 21 Pilots is there is a HUGE following in the Philly/DC area for them. The fans actually wanted them. I’m not sure there is much of any demand for Imagine Dragons to come back. In the poll for Delaware Online on Firefly Facebook Facebookn Page, which granted is a small sample size, I don’t think a single person included Imagine Dragons in their wishlist for 2018.

True, but when The Killers were booked again, they had no new music out since the last time they had played.
Imagine Dragons has put out TWO new records, and this newest one is very popular. So I don't see why they wouldn't.
Not that I necessarily want them there, but wouldn't be terrible. And I think it could help the undercard budget if they use it effectively

Not sure why you think Imagine Dragons would be cheap.

I mean not that they'd be dirt cheap given their commercial success but Firefly could definitely book more expensive, money-eating artists
One of the few rock bands touring that can actually sell out Arenas right now. Sold Out the Verizon Center in DC, and there was a strong resale market the whole time. I think if Firefly goes back to 3 headliners, like they should, then the undercard would still be really strong but ID wont be cheap

Eminem - Green Day - The Chainsmokers - Imagine Dragons
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO death to Firefly
I wouldn't love it but that would sell just fine.
With the state of US Festivals in 2018, I'd honestly take Eminem - Green Day - The Chainsmokers - Imagine Dragons Arctic Monkeys right now
Yea if you take out either Chainsmokers or Imagine Dragons for something decent I'm ok with it. I don't expect Arctic Monkeys though. I just don't think they will be in the U.S. this summer.
