Sorry for the super long post haha it's just been awhile.
I also wanted to add that if Andy Frasco and the UN don't come back next year I'm going to be pissed. They are so amazing and entertaining. Seeing them at the treehouse was unreal.
I honestly wish they would cut ties with the White Panda and make Andy Frasco and the UN the house band. It'd be dope to see them play a few sets throughout the weekend and they could definitely do it.
I got to talk to Andy last year for a while in the artist lounge and I said I'd love to have them on a bigger stage this year, because they put on one of the most energized shows around. I don't see them unseating White Panda though. WP has a bigger mass appeal toward the EDM and dance crowd and they also help with the after videos, etc. I think they've cemented themselves into that spot and they've done a pretty good job over the years.
Well shit. If Arcade Fire is out... I'm really worried. There is still a lot of possibility, but after last year, I'm not so sure about the headliners now. No LCD or Arcade Fire.

Yea their Lightning and the Thunder remix is gonna drive the crowd wild this year.
Aside from it being Firefly's trademark bastard child, any evidence pointing Imagine Dragons towards definitely more than maybe? Nobody even listens to them anymore that I know of. Even their newer song Thunder is unanimously despised by anyone I know who has heard it.

Oh you would be surprised how many people listen to them. One of the few modern rock bands that have sold their Arena tours well recently (The Killers have too, as did Green Day). Now how many of those people are in the Festival Demographic? I dunno

That's definitely the confusing thing. I feel like most people who listen to them are Top 40 pop radio types. Casual fans of music. People who don't seem likely to shell out hundreds of dollars and have to use vacation time to travel and spend a weekend at a music festival in Delaware.
Do you have any idea about this or just joking around? I seem to remember you doing the same with Weeknd lyrics last year a few weeks before the lineup was announced.
Only one North American festival has made them a headliner, Wayhome, which then immediately died. Not even Hangout has taken the bait yet. Unlike, TOP, I just don't know if they have a rabid fanbase that will buy passes to see them in Delaware.
But of course you can't rule them out because it feels Firefly eats up the whole "Imagine Dragons were on the last line of the first Firefly now look how far we've both come" junk.
Worst Case Scenarios btw:
J-Cole • Imagine Dragons • The Chainsmokers • Lana Del Rey
RHCP • Imagine Dragons • The Chainsmokers • Travis Scott

Jesus, those worst case scenarios would be a nightmare.
I got a pre-sale ticket for 200 bucks this year and half the reason I go every year is because it's easy to get a large group of my friends together that I don't see as often anymore for a long weekend and hangout. If those were the headliners, I'm sure a lot of us would be reconsidering and the undercard would really have to knock it outta the park. That being said, I'm staying a little optimistic and guessing something like:
Jack White - Kendrick Lamar - Arctic Monkeys - The Chainsmokers

Theres just no way that first one is possible. Its just so so so bad

Two acts that popped into my head this weekend that I felt would fit nicely at the forest next year:
1. Missy Elliot- A little unexpected but I think she would pull a rather good sized crowd and her sets are supposed to be really fun. 2. HAIM- They didn't tour a lot this year behind the new album, and they haven't been in Philly for a hot minute . With FF I'm not sure where they'd be billed, but I feel they'd pull a decently sized crowd at the least.

I don't even know who we can hope for at this point. Jack White return? Just about every (realistic) headliner I'd hope for is already ruled out. This seems destined for a Hangout level disaster.
Kendrick - Green Day - Chainsmokers - Imagine Dragons

Come on it’s not nearly that bad yet. I still think there is a decent chance Beyonce plays this thing. Still have a good chance at Kendrick and Lorde, the two most highly praised albums from 2017.
There will probably be one bad headliner but IMO it’s been that way for a while whether it be KOL (twice) or which of the 2017 cluster you’d pick.

I personally don't have a strong liking to rap. So while I appreciate Kendrick in the sense that he's one of the best in the world right now, he doesn't really move the needle for me. I don't like Beyonce at all. So I can only imagine (no pun intended) the disaster lineup she would be bring after soaking up a large portion of the talent budget.
No LCD, no Arcade Fire, no The National - this thing needs Pearl Jam so bad
They're in Europe during Firefly. The Killers also have a European start date of June 20 so, that would be cutting it close but still possible I suppose.
