I'll have to keep to my word that if The Chainsmokers AND Imagine Dragons headline I'll autoskip. I mean... that'd be quite a difficult hole to dig out of. I'd have to throw up first and then come back and look at the rest of the lineup.
Agreed. If they are both in the Top 3 and unopposed like usual then it's an automatic no for me. I can skip one headliner by hanging in the dogfish tent, I can't justify 2.
If Chainsmokers are 4th, then the other 2 names in the Top 4 and the undercard better be damn good.
Firefly is probably the closest thing the East Coast will ever have to a Coachella in terms of attendance and it definitely skews towards a college crowd, so I don’t see any reason GV wouldn’t book Beyoncé for both.
uh, nah. Panorama is east coastchella, Firefly is more like Hangout or Sasquatch, especially after last year.
I would be OK with Odesza. Honestly I don't really understand why they're so big. They're like a blander Flume with a more involved performance. Any Odesza fans please change my view

Don't really understand why they're so big either without a radio hit, but that's a good thing. I really like em but they put on an amazing show and do more than press the play button on theirs Macs

ODESZA's tracks from In Return, plus their various remixes and unreleased tracks made for a super fun liveshow during their fall tour of 2015 that dragged into 2016.
Unfortunately their new album blows, so I doubt their current iteration is gonna be as fun.

Odesza just seems like the perfect fit for firefly. Their 2015 set was absolutely amazing as well. If I make the return to firefly I’d be extreme exited to see their new production.
Four Tet would be a nice Dance Tent alternative to whatever big act (Odesza or otherwise) is on Backyard one of the nights. Although they seem to schedule Rock bands against the big DJs.

Interesting compared to the last couple of years there doesn’t seem to be much indication of any of the headliners yet. 2016 the lineup was already out, and last year 21P and Muse was pretty strongly assumed by this point. Maybe this is a 2015 like year and it drags out until March lol. Woooo Beyonce Mirite.

the entire lineup leaked in 2015, and then it was dragged out till march bc they had trouble officially locking down paul

With the competition between so many festivals in recent years and GB/Pano/Roo all announced first week in Jan, I'd be shocked if they announce the lineup anytime past the 3rd week in January. There is just too many potential customers that will go elsewhere if they delay too long.
Seems like last year was delayed by something on the lineup because a Friday reveal was weird.

The rumor was that they had booked Beyonce, but obviously that fell through. So she was replaced with The Weeknd and Bob Dylan.
I'm optimistic for this year. I've been every year, and last year was the first time I had any real doubts about the lineup.
It ended up being one of the most fun years for me (DESPITE NO BEERCADE!!!!) Even with a subpar lineup it was still a great time. I imagine the crowd next year might be a lot better though.
There were clearly a lot of people (teenagers) there for 21 Pilots and the Weeknd who were kinda douchey, but once a ton of them left Sunday morning things definitely chilled out and the vibes were a lot more like they had been in previous years.
When I say people were being shitzy, I mean I've never seen so many people push their way to the front of a huge crowd, and then turn back around and push their way out after not even five minutes.
. It didn't make any sense to me and just seems so rude. Not that they care obviously, but I couldn't figure out why in fucks name someone would do that. I genuinely think it was just so people could take one cool snapchat or Instagram pic.
I'm not as big on Arcade Fire as I was when I was a senior in high school and the Suburbs came out, but I still hope to see them so I can cross them off the bucket list. Also, they seem like they might be reasonably priced nowadays for a headliner.
I'm praying no Chainsmokers. I was not impressed by them at all in 2015(or whenever they played). I'd prefer a Tycho repeat, and also I'll take Sam Feldt or Alan Walker again. Rufus Dü Sol as well, if there have to be repeats.
Nothing against Beyonce, I just really don't want her as a headliner. She just doesn't do anything for me. I'd see her, but there are a lot of artists of I'd rather see.

I also wanted to add that if Andy Frasco and the UN don't come back next year I'm going to be pissed. They are so amazing and entertaining. Seeing them at the treehouse was unreal.
I honestly wish they would cut ties with the White Panda and make Andy Frasco and the UN the house band. It'd be dope to see them play a few sets throughout the weekend and they could definitely do it.

That's good to know. Someone associated with Firefly told me shortly after Andy Frasco's set that they were definitely trying to get them back in 2018 on a bigger stage. I really hope it works out that way because I would love to see them again.
