I really wish Roo would book Leonard Cohen and let him close Which or pre-headline What. His Coachella '09 performance is one of my all time favorite festival memories.
From what I've read he seems to be pretty much done performing, mostly for health reasons. I doubt he'd make an exception for a show outside in the summer in Tennessee

Donald Glover just got cast as Lando in the Han Solo movie thats coming out in 2018... Guessing that means he is going to be very busy in the next year.

I have always wanted Leonard Cohen to perform on The Farm. I was jealous of Coachella gettin' him that year, but then his set was pretty short from what I remember bein' posted online. Givin' him a spot on the lineup would do well to get me to return.

Too busy fer some summer shows? I imagine that would depend on his shoot dates fer the film.

I don't recall why Mavis Staples was dropped from the 2016 lineup but I caught her at Eaux Claires Festival and she was awesome and it would be great to have on the lineup.
Dolly Parton as well would be a great artist on the lineup.

Mavis was touring with Dylan and cancelled Roo. I would have loved to have seen her again. I still can't believe Bonnaroo hasn't booked Dolly for the country legend slot.

So Dylan and Mavis locked for 2017...

Doubtful. Mavis was promoting the newest album last year and I don't think many festivals are looking to add Bob to their lineup.
Edit: I meant Mavis was touring behind the new album this year, not last.
Probably more for the headliner thread but I wonder with Dylan winning a Nobel Prize if that increases Festivals trying to book him for 2017
I can't think of an act I would skip more than a Dylan set. Dude essentially incoherently rambles the songs these days and seems to be completely insufferable at times. Heard he demanded the stage crew shut off all of the screens at his set at Desert Trip because the video screens were annoying him.
Strong possibility we really missed out on Grimes this year. This is from her Instagram "just realized that if i hd woken up at a reasonable hour today i could have seen kali uchis and la femme at beach goth but instead i slept in 👺. well cyaz soon anyhoo. this is my last show in the usa for many moons. began aa cycle at beach goth and randomly appear to be closing here too haha. cant believe we were on the road for a year"

Not that they're totally equivalent, but I'd prefer FKA Twigs if we could only get one of the two. Still a bummer. Grimes would've been great

I've never quite understood what the hype for Grimes was. I saw her at Bunbury back in June and it was strange to say the least. It seemed kind of incoherent and she was rolling all over the ground and stuff. We hung around for about 15 minutes and then decided to leave to go see Big Grams instead.

Yeah I tried to like her when she started popping up on lineups everywhere but it just never clicked

I liked her album Visions, and think the live show is pretty great. But I am not a fan of the more poppish songs. I feel Purity Ring does what she does much better.

I was just thinking this actually. I had a friend who went to Purity Ring when they came to town recently and was posting videos of it and the visuals and everything really seemed to be far better and compelling to what Grimes does.

Yeah I mean they sound very similar to me. Both have the whole pop/metal asthetic if that makes sense. I admire that Grimes has tried to branch out a bit more musically. But I like Purity Ring both on album and live more.

I like Grimes' music a lot, particularly Visions and Art Angels, but when I saw her open for Lana Del Rey last year it was strange to say the least. Nearly incoherent, lots of screaming, just.. real different haha. But I still had fun.

I'll probably be one of the few who won't be at FKA Twigs. Reminds me of Aliyah on LSD, and that's not a good thing. Don't care for the music or the the hypnotic dance moves. It's cheesy to me. The thing I love about Grimes is that she's a producer, writer, singer, and dancer all in the same show. All her albums are pretty stellar, and her set at Lolla was wild and fun. Definitely one of my favorite Lolla undercard sets. FKA puts me to sleep, but Grimes has some dynamics on stage. I was shocked when Roo missed out on her.

So you're saying hypnotic dance moves is a bad thing?

I'm saying her hypnotic dance moves don't intice me like most critics or fans who have seen her haha.

See I'm the opposite. I'd probably see twigs. Grimes I'd probably skip. I love FKA Twigs' music.
